The way Floyd leans over during his shoulder roll makes him vulnerable to overhands. He also defends himself by deflecting punches upwards by leaning back and extending his forearms and elbows. It gave JMM all kinds of trouble.

Paul Williams is 6'1, has a huge reach but fights like an inside fighter. He will be punching downwards the whole night.

 

It's all about doing what you're capable of to win and if others had the movement, speed, skills that Mayweather has they would perform the same. Special fighters don't come every week.

Still I think Williams would be doom.

 

How exactly does Mayweather potshot a 6'1" southpaw boxer with a massive arm length advantage that also throws 100 punches per round?

 

The same way he potshotted Tony Pep and Diego Corrales. I can't wait till Pavlik exposes Williams. ****'s gonna be funny.

 

For a tall guy, Corrales had short arms and no jab. And I'm a big Chico fan.
If Pavlik defeats Williams,that does not mean Mayweather will. Should be obvious enough.

Yeah, it did seem like he was trying to build him up a bit there. I guess that fight has a little bit of potential although I doubt Berto's got the experience or tools to really get to Floyd. We shall see.

If he goes Berto over Shane, especially after his claims that Shane, Cotto, (and Margo for that matter) were not big money fights....just wow. But, I seriously doubt it will happen.

Seriously, it will probably be Berto in Dubai. And heaven forbid, Khan at Wembley, I can see it now 'Khan is the best at 140, this is a P4P matchup, we are both really fast etc etc' man wish Floyd would man up and sign to face Mosley. Isn't Clottey-Mosley off and Mosley has a January date now?
