Floyd is the best fighter in the world today. Any other considerations are superfluous to the argument. The best fighter in the world should be ranked #1. Pac only got the accolade in PBF's absence.

Pacquiao no doubt. Floyd beat JMM at welterweight. JMM struggled at lightweight. Not that impressive.

pac still.. if only mayweather knocked marquez.. i think we could make a case.. but the fact that he was still very conservative and not exciting in beating marquez. he's number 2 for me..

You have got to be kidding me. Yeah he was better but you can tell by rd 3 Marquez was gasp and sluggish from all the weight gain. This fight proves nothing and he made Hatton gain 7 lbs for his last fight also?

I think after last night, I have to say Mayweather. He came back after a two year layoff and utterly dominated a top pound for pound guy, who although smaller, was a better fighter than Hatton, or an old De La Hoya. Pacquiao has a strong case also, though. Having either one on top is defensible.

They are both #1 at this point IMO.

I'd have Mayweather behind Pacquiao. And possibly Hopkins.
