Yes, Mayweather shut JMM down, but it wasn't too hard to figure out that he would do that to a naturally smaller man. As great as JMM is, he clearly was out of his weight division. Props to JMM for trying his all, and props to Mayweather for doing what he had to do.
He came in at 161? Wow that's huge. Yeah, I thought he looked more massive against JMM than he was against Dela Hoya.
When Mayweather moves up two weight divisions and does the same thing he did to Marquez up there then you can call him the greatest of this era.
Why do you think Mayweather and HBO withheld his weight on fight night. They realized there would be huge backlash if everyone found out his weight. he was at Least 10 pounds heavier.
Yeah, I hope he really seeks out the best fights to prove how great he is. So we can all stop thinking of what if fights, and say surely PBF will whup their asses. Anything can happen in a fight. In each bout there is always a chance PBF can lose, that is if he chooses the toughest fights out there and not the safest ones.
The funny thing about all this. Is when Pacman beat ODH easier than Floyd...lol he was alledgely the better fighter blah blah blah.. Despite him fighting ODH exoskeleton. And dont forget Hatton... But oh nah, is this no way a measuring stick on what May will do to Pacman.
Anyone who thinks that fight proved anything at all is delusional. I said pre-fight that if Floyd didn't KO Marquez in impressive fashion it would expose him to a degree. I don't really agree with that now, as I honestly think he was carrying Marquez for most of the fight, but I definitely don't think this fight proved anything we didn't already know. It was an easy payday for Floyd, nothing more.
