That is amazing ... With a guy who's that accurrate and that precise its going to be very tough for any fighter to compete with that.
This. I don't understand how anyone can be impressed by that kind of safet first performance against an opponent he totally out-matched in every way from the opening bell.
1) Marquez was moving up two weight classes on unfamiliar territory which also significantly diminished his speed. 2) Most punches thrown were jabs. It's a hell of a lot easier to be accurate when throwing jabs the whole fight. 3) I picked PBF to win by KO 6-7. I'm a bit dissapointed that this fight went the whole 12. It should be noted that I saw him try to finish Pissmouth a couple of times which is commendable.
Thats the difference between a guy who's a legit 6-time world champion and undefeated... from a guy who's not ... he doesn't care about leaving any opening and he's going to last that way.
for a boxer who connected almost 60% of his shots, regardless of the weight advantages, should have knocked out his opponent. thats the difference between pac and pbf
The few clean shots that Marquez landed did little more than tickle Mayweather. We all wanted a knockout instead of a 12 round mismatch but like Lampley said, with all that talent why risk anything? Also I think he likes punishing opponents much like the way Ali often did.
