Hatton isnt retired. I wanna see Floyd fight someone like Clottey or Mosley. Mosley might be a lil to old but its nothing to bad.
The two acceptable fights for Mayweather are Mosley and Pacquiao/Cotto. The latter is the bigger payday, as the casual fans couldn't give a toss about Shane. But it also involves Floyd negotiating with Bob Arum, which isn't going to happen, particularly with Cherry wanting all the cash. I reckon we'll see Cherry vs. Shane next year with Shane agreeing to a measly purse share in order to make the fight financially viable. Or Floyd hand-picks someone else.
I don't doubt he may use Khan as a tune up somewhere down the road to give the fans an England a fight in England. Berto, I don't see happening, they have the same advisor and Berto is an unknown. I don't think Berto would fight him anyway.
Manny fought guys at their weight who were close to great skills like Barrera and Morales and beat them.. Mayweather has not. And you cannot call a man a great fighter who has not beaten great fighters at least at weights they won a title at . That is significant. If a man can win a title at a certain weight that usually means he is somewhat legit there.
I actually think Floyd will man up and fight Mosley. Floyd doesn't like tough fights, but he dislikes being discredited and put down more. Just like Hatton forced a Mayweather fight, I think Mosleys efforts will be successful in getting Floyd into the ring.
