He's still in the top 40-80 range. I have sorted my list out but no way is he in the top 25 as far as I'm concerned.

DURAN FOUGHT SUCCESSFULLY ALL THE WAY UP TO 164 POUNDS! Duran is also better than JMM and is a much bigger force stylistic for the bigger weights.

if pac beats cotto, pac would be a real force at welterweight. pac-floyd should happen at a catchweight of 145 so as to have floyd the full credit. no excuses if this all happens.

what some floyd fans do not get is that jmm was not even a factor at 140 never mind at 147. yes it was a great performance by floyd but it's not something to make him jump his greatness up. he should be fighting guys from his own weight.

he did not move up in rank after this fight for me, he was suppose to win just like he did.but for me he needed the ko, i think he is the p4p best fighter in the world though.but his atg status is the same to me.

Why is god's name would anybody compare the Leonard/Duran situation to the Floyd/Marquez situation. Duran had over 70 fights as a Lightweight, whereas Marquez had a measly 2. Duran would later go on to fight relatively comfortably at 154lbs and 160lbs, giving Hagler a tough fight and beating Barkley. Juan will probably never fight north of 135lbs again, and hadn't done until last night. Duran is a top 5 ATG, whereas Marquez comes in at around 80-100. The differences are huge.
Juan started his career at 126lbs, and was there for most of his career.

    Floyd is top 50 material.

This fight pushed him back because he couldn't ko a super featherweight.

Duran, top 5 ATG, who had 70 fights as a Lightweight did indeed move up to fight Leonard.

Great fighter Marquez who had 2 fights previously at 135lbs, and is essentially a Super Featherweight, did move up to 2 divisions to fight the best fighter in the world, who has campaigned at 154lbs before. Yes.

Duran was a Lightweight, Leonard was a Welterweight. Forget where they started.

Marquez is a legitimate Featherweight who's never fought north of 135lbs. Floyd has been fighting at 147lbs and above for the last 5 years. In the words of Christian Bale, "What don't you ****in' understand"?
