The Pacman/Cotto winner will land up in the same way as Marquez, and that includes Mosley. There are no fighters in his weight class who stand a chance, unlike the 1980's Tyson, Floyd can move up for a challenge. He should win a belt again at 154 then challenge Pavlik or Williams. At least the outcome would not be obvious
Why? You are complaining about Marquez stepping up 2 divisions, yet you expect Mayweather to step up 2 divisions himself against a huge middleweight.

If Mayweather cleans up 147 easily then it would make sense to test himself at higher weights. First things first though.

Mayweather already won the official WBC Light Middleweight belt 2 years ago. After he dominates and blows out Cotto/Pacquiao, I would like to see him fight Williams or Mosley.
