I really felt bad for him last night after the fight. HBO didnt want to interview him and he had to practically beg to get one, it was as if he wanted to apologize to everyone for not making the fight competitive. I really hope this fight hasnt taken a lot out of him and he can be a force at 135 and 140.

Cant take anything away from JMM. He showed heart and determination throughout the entire fight. He went the distance with a bigger, faster, and heavier (2 pounds overweight :D) opponent who was 39 and 0, and was considered the P4P king prior to his retirement.

    JMM :happy:happy:happy

I felt bad for jmm last night, but felt very proud that he did'nt stop trying. I thought there was a point in the 11th where it was just a matter of time before he got stopped. Last nights result does'nt hurt his standing in the sport at all, considering all the advantages floyd had. I was happy he got to walk out of there with his head held high.

Yup. Im a mosely fan, but him and oldman hoke storming the ring pretty much robbed jmm of the opportunity to be acknowledged and give his thoughts/thanks. at least they should have interviewed him first.

The reports from ESPN were that GBP made up new contracts of the fight because they knew that Mayweather would'nt even attempt to shed the two lbs.....

How the hell GBP would do that and not fight for JMM and pressure Mayweather to make weight is testament that GBP had an interest to see Mayweather come out a winner.......

I was looking at the post fight newsconference on ESPN and a reporter posed a question to Floyd about speculation that DLH had loaned him 6 million to bail him out of his debt with the IRS.......
......when the question was asked, DLH in the backround could be seen shaking his head in embarassment, as he could'nt believe that it was out that he had loaned Mayweather the money.

Mayweather of course went off on that reporter for butting into something that was a personal matter......

......but make no doubt about it.....DLH does'nt give out loans without asking for something in return......and that something without a doubt will be rights to promote Mayweather future fights, which would include a possible Manny Pacquiao matchup.

When you have your own promoter backstabbing you like that and not fighting for you on contractual out of ring matters......JMM was doomed from the get go.

Nacho Beristain initially did'nt want JMM to fight Mayweather if it was'nt in fair terms.....he wanted the fight at a maximum 142 lbs.......it was JMM himself who talked Nacho into taking the fight at 144 lbs....as thats as low as Mayweather was going to go......

Then Mayweather comes in as a full fledged Welterweight and GBP welcomes it????:patsch

As Nacho had said even before Marquez climbed the ring....."its very frustrating, but there's absolutely nothing we can do at this point with the fight now here."

DLH and GBP should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt there's even an ounce there. :-(
