OK, so Floyd put on a boxing masterclass, and totally dominated Marquez.
if you have been on the forum since the fight you would of heard the excuses to why Floyd deserves no credit. Marquez is at his best 126-130, Marquez is 36, Marquez is past it etc etc.

My question is....who currently fighting would of been able to beat the Floyd Mayweather that turned up the other night?

If that Floyd turns up against pacquaio...who wins?

style's make's fights. and the pac that fought oscar at 147 would be a much better fight for floyd than jmm at welter even though pac was still smaller. in terms of size, mosley or cotto would give floyd some fits but i would expect floyd to be always the favorite from now on unless he fights williams at 154 or 160.

    last night Floyd was magnificent.

If he fights Pac he will win by KO.

Extremely good, albeit he was probably against an ideal opponent in terms of styles and the advantages in his favour. Marquez is a counterpuncher and I always said from day one its very difficult to counterpunch a guy quicker nevermind bigger that is already a supreme counterpuncher himself. It was always going to force Marquez outside his element. And well, thats not even getting to the weight issue.

Still, you can't fault his performance level because he did nothing wrong all night. Marquez landed like 2 punches and got peppered himself.

He had everything in his favor. He was stronger and faster. How could Marquez do well?

This is what I hate about weight classes. Men start at light heavy.

Mayweather Jr was very good, indeed.

I believe the fighters who pose the biggest threat to Floyd at the present time are Shane Mosley and Paul Williams.

Manny Pacquiao, I stated before yesterday's fight, would be badly outclassed much like Marquez was. I come that conclusion because Manny has had trouble with counterpunchers in the past, and with Mayweather being a bigger, stronger counterpuncher, which comparable handspeed and impeccable timing, I only see one winner.
