That's the point, he was surrounded by HOFers and ATGs who were all pissed off as hell and ready to exchange punches. You might be commando but he obviously isn't, he handled things good being in a scary position like that. With all the insults he gets I expected him to REALLY freak out and make things look terrible.

It wasn't that Kellerman lost control of the interview since that situation would have been difficult for anyone but it was the way he handled it. Floyd was obviously pissed off with the Mosley interuption so for Kellerman to leap straight in with questions about Pacquiao and the weight issue was obviously going to wind him up even more. Kellerman should have waited till the rucus was over then started with something a bit easier and then led on to the more confrontational stuff a bit further down the road. As it was he pissed Floyd off and was made to look like a sucker on live tv. Jim....Jim....help me. Priceless.

Kellerman's fight commentary during the fight doesn't bother me so much as his post fight analyst and his interviews. I'd like to see HBO experiment with Roy Jones conducting the post fight interviews. Being a respected fighter himself, I would think fellow fighters would be more willing to open up to his questioning.

    Well put.

I have a feeling this is almost exactly what he was told after the fact. Yeah, it was an awkward moment to deal with, but it was an obvious "tv moment" and he just killed it. He dropped the ball trying to be "the tough question guy".

HBO's director asked them to cut away. Kellerman lost control, that could have been why.

I've never really have had a problem with Max. He does have good comments during the fight, but as an interviewer he really isn't that good. He comes out like an ******* most of the time and last night he would have been able to redeem himself in the eyes of many if he would have conducted that situation better.

From a bizz credibility standpoint he's damaged goods, he's not respected within the trade + his age is against him, yer've got 2 have a bit of grey hair in there asking the questions, you need an age gap so too avoid any confrontation's, father/son thing, i've always hated Larry Merchant but he new how 2 guide yer & spin yer:smoke

    **** Al Bernstein thats Kellerman's dad:p

Hey Mayweather said it when he told kellerman "you talk to much". Because Max Kellerman does talk way too much. I also agree that Max wants all the attention. I myself don't find him interesting and he really annoys me naturally not to mention when he doesn't let the fighters speak they're mind. And it would of not come to blows with Mayweather, Hopkins, or Mosley. I would of loved to hear what they were saying and and if Kellerman wasn't so arrogant he would of put the mic up to them. To bad I can't fire that guy myself. I think Max had to of blackmailed someone to get that job.

hes not too bad, not great, but then he is still young. i do like the fact that when floyd tried to take control max basically said "**** you floyd, im not one of your leeches. this is my mic". thats one of the things i love about larry, he lets you know your place and speaks what the fans dont have a chance to say.

Merchant would have been able to handle the assignment.

Kellerman's problem is that he is very biased towards pure boxers. I've seen fights that he commented where you have a pure boxer being ineffective & he'll give them the round anyway. He's a joke. He's not entertaining. With Merchant, whether you like or dislike him, you feel like your at an event. With kellerman, it has an espn type feel.
