Is Paul Williams overrated ?

There's already a thread going about this on the first page I believe. Short answer, yes. But he's still very good.

 

No. You don't beat Margarito and Winky unless your good. He just needs defining fights with major players to prove how good he is.

 

Yes but he's still good. Then again I think most fighters are either underrated/overrated in here. Few fighters are rated right where they should be. In my view of course.

williams would beat mosley, he already beat margarito, he would beat clottey, cintron, and he would bust the **** out of cotto.

Im not even gonna mention what he would do to pac.

Only guy i dont see him destroying is mayweather. But that fight is a close call.

 

I hate to say this but if Margacheato would've started earlier in his fight against PW, Paul woul've never seen the 12th rd. IMO. Paul didn't look very well at he end of that fight... A rematch would be very nice to see, that is if Margarita deserves another payday. Anyways, yep, I think Williams is overrated.

 

Yes, In a he can still be a "WW" if he chooses to sort of way.
Noway he can make 147lbs and be as effective as several years ago.
(Quintana I is the perfect example of that)

You can always argue a fighters over-rated what I think though is id favor him against Clottey, Mosley, Cotto and everyones or most at least are giving him a 50/50 shot at beating Pavlik at middleweight, he dominated Wright and beat Margarito at his own game and he may have even been fighting against plaster in that one we will never know so I think it's fair to rate him highly.

 

I think he's overrated here in esb. his best win so far was against a slow margarito and an old nearing shot winky. Let's see first what he has to show us when he fights pavlik
