Congratulations on managing to find just about the only possible combination that manages to actually be worse than the current one.
Agree with all that, they were pissing me off bigtime, im ashamed that Watt is Scottish after last night, sure both him and the other guy slept at each side of Mayweather later on. He beat a guy who only moved up to 135 for two fights at age 35 and was moving up two more weight classes at age 36, was enough to make you sick their arselicking.
I can't believe how people get so wound up about something so innocuous as commentating...the only one who winds me up to any degree is the studio jockey with the dodgy eye action when he speaks. Watt and whatsisname were only spouting off what we were all seeing, PBF taking apart and humiliating another ATG (like it or not)
I hope Bunce is serious about sending his CV. I really enjoyed the boxing but the commentary and presentation was awful. Fans can smell BS, and the sky studio just reeks of scripts and 'advertorials'. Bad scripts at that.
I think he was just joking. Sky would never put someone with an opinion on the panel. God forbid what they'd say if he went on a rant or read an email. They'd probably apologise to the audience and have him removed.
Ish, why the hell did you download the Sky version?! HBO all the time for me. I might actually DL Sky's just to listen to the commentary. I remember Smith saying 'Mayweather is the greatest fighter since SRL'. At the time I was thinking, 'if he says Robinson then he has surpassed himself'.
What? somebody who might disagree with the rest? God forbid. The three wise monkeys would die of shock.
Its dreadful and completely outdated. Same with the football, how on earth Richard Keys has kept that job for about 17 years is sickening, he is utterly clueless. Jim Watt just baffles me and seems to go to ridiculous extremes, a great round leads to a fighter being amazing, perfect display etc and a bad round and the fighter isnt cut out for this level, to much of a step up bla bla. The fella's in the studio barely ever have any sort of disagreement.
I don't mind them... Watt is a legend IMO and knows the game inside out... gives respect to boxers who deserve it. Nelson always has an opinion and has genuine enthusiasism about the sport, he talks a lot of p!sh but he is decent for TV. Piper is a bit of a **** but always gives an alternative view which is important when getting a balanced arguement If you are really that bothered buy sky +
