I don't think Hoya, Judah, Baldomir, Hatton or Gatti were smaller or shot. The biggest problem with all of them is that they weren't good enough. I don't know if there's anyone at WW who is good enough. People say they want him to beat top Welters and I have no problem with that. But let's be real, no matter who he beats, someone can come up with an excuse for why it's not good enough.

not that quote in particular, but the misconception that Floyd walks around bullying smaller guys???? I'm not sure, but I don't think thats physically possible to do when you've won belts in 5 divisions:huh

As you can see, Castillo taught him that he's beatable, and since those two fights he hasn't fought anyone with a chance in hell of beating him except DLH. DLH almost beat him, and the only reason he took that fight is because of the huge upside.

Judah, and Baldomir were B level fighters at best. hatton is too small for WW and his fight against Collazo PROVES it, and Oscar was past his prime without a doubt.

PBF can fight Williams, Cotto, Margarito, Cottey, Berto, Mosley, and a bunch of other fighters WHO ARE BETTER THAN THE VERSION OF ODLH, Hatton, JMM, Judah, and Baldomir that Mayweather fought.

Aside Mosley, they are in their prime, they are as big and strong as PBF, they are skilled, and most importantly they are the TRUE TOP WW today.

Hoya - I will give him that one.
Judah - coming off a loss
    Baldomir - Journeyman
Hatton - smaller, proved himself to be less than an elite welter against colazo
gatti - different skill level. DLH beat him up years earlier and was criticized for taking on a weak opponent, whereas mayweather gets credit for beating up an older more shopworn version. explain that

I think DLH taught PBF to not fight anyone who is stronger than him, he saw it as a close call, and I believe he knows that against a PRIME fighter his size he will have to deal with hell. It's evident in who he's fought since, he's fought Hatton, JMM, and perhaps now Pac al smaller.

Judah, Baldomir were at best B level fighter with huge limitations. Oscar was obviously past his prime, yet still gave PBF a close ass fight.

Gatti was shot. The only thing gatti did to earn a shot at PBf was beat another shot fighter in Leija.

Mosley - 38 yrs old past his prime
Berto - to green not ready
Cotto - not the same since Margarito, no defense, not fast enough
Williams - weakend by moving up and down in weight, not accurate enough
    Clottey - B level fighter

There is a built in excuse with anyone Mayweather fights.

Mayweather started fighting at 130 beat Hernandez, Corrales, Chavez to win and defend featherweight belts. Moved up to 135 to beat champ Castillo to win lightweight belt. Moved up to 140 to fight Corley and Gatti and win light welterweight titles. Moved up to 145-147 to fight Judah and Baldomi for 2 welterweight titles. He then calls out Tszyu, Mosley and DLH. Moved up to 154 to fight De La Hoya for light middle weight title.

All the way up to DLH Mayweather has moved up in weight to fight multiple title holders. Moving up 4 weight classes in 5yrs and 3 weight classes in straight yrs.

Ok well if you wanna put it in those terms than look at any fighter and their resume AND ur gonna have the tune up type Mitchell and sosa fights...BALDOMIR WAS THE WW CHAMP SO GIVE FLOYD CREDIT...JUDAH FIGHT WAS REALLY MADE WHEN JUDAH WAS THE "OFFICIAL" CHAMP AS WELL...JUDAH THE 1 WHO MESSED THAT ALL UP BY HIS POOR OUTING WITH CARLOS....GATTI WAS A BIG PPV FIGHT THAT SHOT MAYWEATHER INTO STARDOM AND ARTURO WAS ON A GOOD STREAK WHEN HE MET FLOYD...COTTO WANTED NO PARTS OF FLOYD AT JWW AND NEITHER DID HATTON...I RECALL HATTON SAYIN HE WASN'T READY FOR THE MAYWEATHER FIGHT AT THAT TIME...SOSA WAS A STUPID FIGHT TO TAKE AT THE TIME WHEN JOEL AND FREITAS WERE DOIN ALRIGHT AT THE TIME I CAN RESPECT THAT BUT THAT HAD TO DO WITH MONEY AND JOEL AND FREITAS DEMANDING TOO MUCH...

Probably should give more credit to Floyd where its due really cuz the man is 40-0 and he has beaten 3 top lb 4 lb fighters in their prime...You can say that he hasnt fought alotta top fighters but going undefeated is hard in that sense anyway...BHOP lost his first pro fight and many others have lost many early fights as well....DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLOYD AND THOSE GUYS IS THAT FLOYD HASN'T LOST 1 FIGHT...HE WILL FIGHT THE TOP WW BUT GIVE HIM TIME....HE JUSS PITCHED A SHUTOUT OVER THE #2 RATED FIGHTER (BY MOST) IN THE WORLD...:deal

If he will run through this list, he will have gained GOD STATUS. I'd be happy if he just fought Mosley.
