Marquez's age is irrelevant, he was considered the second best pound for pound fighter in the world.
Couldn't even stun him? he knocked him on his back in the second round.
Hatton a KO ready to happen? Not sure about that either. He's only been stopped twice in something like 45 fights. Both those stoppages were to the two men considered the best fighters in the world at that time.
What exactly about Floyd's performance didn't impress you?

Floyd didn't impress me either, people can say what they want, but this fight was purely decided by size.

size didn't make marquez mis dame near everything he threw. even if floyd came in at 143 he would have been to fast for marquez.. It not like floyd imposed his size on marquez, because thats not floyd style .. slick, skill ,speed and conditioning,is floyd main ingredients for boxing.

    lets look at this.....in truth...

when floyd had hand problems....he was ko'in people.....

so basically...he can hit harder than his hands will allow...

so why break ur hands...when you can find a decent punching power...and still..box the ears off of everyone.....

floyd was more offensive this fight...he threw jabs.....almost 60% connection

    why his defence allowed...12% connection

show if ur truely a boxing fan..... thats impressive

    weight issue...not really.....an issue

jmm 148..... night of the fight...pac....147...when fought hatton..night of the fight...

    floyd weight 150 for oscar.....

they should just go back to..weighin in on the day off the fight...

at fight night floyd was prbz around 150lbs whereas JMM was probably still around 142-143lbs since he already gained what he could to make 142lbs.

Floyd looked very impressive. but then again he was fighting alot smaller guy. Floyd has talent but he is still cherry picking. In the post-fight conference he says "it's not about the weight class, it's about fighting the best fighters in this era", ok then, why doesn't he jump up 2 weight classes and fight bernard hopkins? Oh yeh hold on, he don't even fight guys his own size, let alone guys bigger than him. He only fights guys his size or bigger than him if he knows the other guy's either over the hill or not on his level.

Castillo and Corrales are the only two fights i give credit to mayweather for. Other than that, it's all been cherry picking. Just to clarify again, Mayweather is the most technically sound boxer in the world without a shadow of a doubt and his skills are awesome. But only one problem, he deosn't take risks.

He needs to atleast fight one of the following fighters - Pac, Cotto, Shane, Williams. If he avoids fighting anyone of these fighters, then what can you say?

Anyone else notice the timing of Floyds retirement? After he beat hatton, who were the only fighters that everybody wanted to see him up against? Cotto? Margarito? Shane? Williams? So he retires. Cotto loses to Margo. Margo loses to Shane. Williams loses. Perfect time for Floyd to return since he has an excuse not to fight these guys apart from Shane but he has something else lined up for him. (Not PPV attraction? LMAO..You what? Oh my.. i better stop before Mayweather assasinates me!

Floyd is without doubt the best defensive boxer in the game but if he wants to be looked at as an all time great in the history of boxing he needs to fight people in his own weight class, not beat up on blown up featherweights because of this p4p bull****, if he thinks he belongs in the class of an ali, sugar ray robinson or sugar ray leonard he needs to step up and fight Mosley and Cotto, Ali fought Frazier and Foreman, Leonard fought Hagler, Duran and Hearns, Robinson took on all comers as well. Floyd may have taken on Castillo and Corrales(Rip)(his best performance IMO) at lower weights but he has lost his balls after that apart from maybe Judah, Baldomirs skills where nowhere near Floyds, Gatti was shot by the time Floyd took him on or looked that way in the fight, De La Hoya was far from his best in there borefest, and Hatton cant fight at 147 because of his out of training binging(Floyd would have won at 140 but Hatton would have been more of a threat). The difference between Mayweather and a Legitimate ATG is they fought all comers, where as Money as skilful as he is Cherry picks his opponents
