but hit and not get hit is the deal with the sweet science... floyd is like ali was back then... he moves and give his opponent nothing to hit at... look at his stats.... you have to think that is beutiful...

The fight did not make Floyd look better than what people already thought. Neither did it enhance his legacy. All the fight did is show that his long layoff did not affect his performance at all.

Floyd is a masterclass in motion but lets take off the fog glasses for just a second.

If we are talking about talent then Floyd is the best right now

If we are talking about serious opponents and opposition then Floyd Mayweather is a complete joke.

You mean to tell me that there is guys like Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, Williams and even Clottey on the landscape but Floyd chooses to not test himself and fight a man who has no business as a welterweight.

Pacquiao also has no business as a welterweight because he does not fight at 147lbs, I think he beats Cotto because when you have to train to make weight it is a different story. Cotto will probably have to lower his bodyfat percentage which will significantly weaken him. When bodybuilders are in competition mode their bodyfat is dangerously low and they are at their weakest but they are ripped. The same concept can be applied to stripping more weight than is natural to his body. He is going to come in feeling healthy but he wont have the strength. I believe he looked slightly over trained for the Clottey fight also.

The bottom line is, Mayweather needs to fight Williams at 154lbs or Mosley at 147lbs and that is that, throw Cotto in for good measure aswell. Pacquiao will be thoroughly embarresed against Mayweather and I wont change my mind on that. Mayweather would never take a fight he felt he could not win. He saw an easy target in Pacquiao and he came out of retirement but ducked a few fighters when going into retirement.

If we all take off our **** stained spectacles it is clear to see what Mayweather is doing, you dont have to be a boxing expert to see why he handpicks his competition. He cannot get away with what he was doing against guys who can actually apply pressure for 12 rounds and hit him hard even if its on the arms, it will still hurt, he is not invincible, far from it. Chuck him in there with a bigger skilled guy with power and lets see what happens. That is what true boxing fans would like to see. We are tired of the showcase fights. We need to see him in real competitive fights.

I think if Cotto takes out Manny then Mayweather I believe has to choose very carefully. I can see him fighting Pacquiao for some strange reason and if he does do that then I will definitely say **** him. He fought Judah coming off a loss but I think the fight was already set beforehand so I will let that one go but if Pac lost to Cotto and he chose to fight Pac then we all know what Mayweather's intentions are.

I saw the post fight press conference and I pick up on the small details of what is being said, Mayweather kept referring to him moving up in weight too from 126lbs. Now I just think that Mayweather really doubts his ability against big punchers who can punch harder and just as fast as him and who are actually bigger than him in frame. He will avoid those fighters for the rest of his career because he is insecure. That is the only reason why we will never see him fight a true test, we will never see it, never. Fear makes people act in all sorts of ways. Fear and insecurity is behind the drivers seat.

de la hoya was smaller??? he fought him at 154 after he DESTROYED mayorga at 154....he makes fights that make money for him if they happen to be against cotto or shane than so be it...i am more than positive that people who think mayweather fears anyone have no clue...he is a master boxer...he chose too fight hatton cuz he was making a ton of cash and ODLH same thing...now he took a tuneup and decimated JMM (who all of a sudden now sucks apparently) there is noone but the big boys and pac left for the teacher to school so i am sure he will do it:deal

Floyd didn't weigh 20 lbs more than JMM, and you're just a dick riding Cotto fan. JMM would've kicked Cotto's ass the night he fought Floyd.
