Of course he would still lose, maybe more badly. It's was pretty obvious that JMM was slower that he used to be. Floyd was too fast for JMM, no doubt about that but the added weight definitely made JMM too slow and too tentative.

On fight night of Mayweather-DLH, Mayweather weighed 148, De La Hoya weighed 160. A welterweight was fighting a middleweight in the biggest fight in boxing history. Where was the outrage?

If the weight did not help Void, they why did Void cheat on the weight? Void will fight the flyweight champion next. Void was not interested in Mosley for some reason.

Weight was an issue but I think it was more towards JMM. JMM looked very slow and old. Someone posted a gif of Floyd vs. JMM and PAc vs. JMM to rile people up but if you watch the clips closer, JMM was multiple times faster at 130

Why is the TS trying to act like weight played a difference in the outcome ... weight didn't make Floyd's chin better, any faster, or stronger ... Floyd fought the same fight that he always fights which is defense first, build up points, and create a distance in points between he and his opponents. Marquez fought smart as far as him not getting reckless, but at the same time ... Marquez didn't look any different either ... it was just a big difference in class and ability ... you guys act like Floyd was muscling Marquez ... he actually showed a different dimension than he has before ... he was using the jab more than he has in the past ... and he was also throwing more combinations every now and again.

Marquez didn't show a decline in speed or ability ... no matter what weight this happened at he would never been able to beat Mayweather and the speed differrence was also a factor coming down the stretch ... Floyd stayed fast, stayed sharp, and like Marquez has shown in his last few fights ... faded and showed wear down the stretch ... Floyd took it easy on him and still got the blowout victory ...

Juan Diaz looked faster than Marquez ... Marquez has an inability to defend the straight left hand as he's been knocked down or hurt by straight left hands in his last 4 or 5 fights ... he was knocked down by a left hook against Barrera, knocked down by a straight left against Pacquiao ... Jaca busted him up with the left ... so did Jandeng ... Casamayor got a left in as well

Juan was the same that he's been he was in his last 4 or 5 fights ...

Marquez also seemed to be fading as of late ... and its not because of the weight change ... its because he exerts morer energy than he has before ... this change in style has helped him in exposing lesser fighters but he hasn't been able to outbox anyone in a while. The last fight with Pacquiao ... he went to the body early then toward the mid rounds start trying to slug it out with him.

Void knew that Marquez was way too small and yet he still cheated on the weight!

How in the hell did you arrive at the 148? In the weigh-in Mayweather weighed 150 against Hoya's 154. Then on the fight night, Mayweather weighed 148?????? All of a sudden, Mayweather decided to dehydrate after the weigh-in???? It is either you are stupid or Mayweather is. And the answer is obvious.

Stopped wearing your Money shades too much because it makes you blind. It is easy to check in the boxrec how much each fighter weighed at weigh-in.

He didn't knock Marquez out ... he just outclassed him ... nothing physical had anything to do ... weight comes into play when there's a stoppage or knockout ... but he caught Marquez with punches he couldn't see ... he was just faster than Marquez and he slowed down the pace of the fight and fought his fight ... had nothing to do with weight.

I'm sure Mayweather runs before he fights ... I'm sure he does alot of working out before a fight _ except for sparring !

There's no reason that he wouldn't lose some weight ... he said that he ran the morning of the marquez fight (8 miles or so) ... weight is never an issue with him ... he weighed 147 against Hatton but weight never plays a factor in his fights, because he's going to be defensive, smart, and illusive.

It's already bad as it is that Floyd was in excess of 2 lbs. What makes it worse is that Marquez was stepping up in weight, in a terrain very unfamiliar to him. I thought the weight difference played a big part. If Marquez was comfortable at the weight, who knows, he could have had more speed and power unlike the relatively slow Marquez that we saw. At the same time, if Floyd lost a few lbs, maybe this could have made his body more vulnerable to JMM's punches.

I disagree. had the fight happened at JMM's weight class, 135, Floyd's strength and stamina would not have been the same.

Weight definitely makes a difference. You may say, well that's ridiculous, Floyd today could never make 135, but that's the point. Floyd has no business fighting at 135, he would be too weak and drained, JMM has no business fighting at 146, he would be too small, lack power and be too slow.

if 2 pounds really doesn't make any difference, then Floyd would have lost it and weighed in at 144. But he didn't, because it does.

Floyd didn't over power him you dick heads ... It was never a matter of stregnth ... It was always based on ability ... Floyd outboxed him for 12 rounds ... He didn't knock him out ... Floyd wouldn't have lost to this guy at any weight class ... If anything floyd would have knocked him out at a lower weight class. I find it hard to believe that marquez could've did any better ...
