The whole thing is doug, a big title fight like this should have a quality main supporting bout but I never thought Murray provided that. The likes of Lee, Duddy, McCloskey or Lindsay would have been a much better choice than Murray.

    yeah..

i wasnt over-impressed with murrays last performance at the o2..
but i was very impressed with what i had seen on recordings before that...so i was kinda interested how he'd look this time...he's got some good skill.

I hope Hyland is now the main support to this fight but I get a bad feeling that it will be Tyson Fury. Out of the fighters on the undercard he is the one I will be looking forward to see more of and deserves RTE coverage.
I wonder will Peters try and get another fight on in short notice but I would doubt that now.

A quick backhander there wouldnt have been uncalled for you know - just so she got the message that you dont mess when it comes to things like that! :D

It's a shame that Murray is off but you know what he doesnt really get my all that excited anyway - Ardy is right Lindsay should have been lined up on the undercard what with Hayemaker still not having a TV deal.

right are we goin to arrange a wee drinkipoo at this fight.

I am goin to wear my Irish boxing supporters club tie and a white shirt - tomorrow is the last day of my honeymoon and I am tanned as feck (as tanned as I get anyway) and I am a devilishly handsome wee son of a gun so shouldnt be hard to miss. Come up and say hello and most importantly of all buy me a drink to congratulate my on my recent nuptials. :smoke

This is a picture of the tie. http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/january09/jan09_irish_boxing_awards.html

Ok. I've watched a bit of Poonswat on youtube now and am ready to throw in my 2 cents opinion. Sithchatchawal had no jab whatsoever and he made poonswat great as he looks a good inside fighter. He has good hand speed and a tidy defence. Cordoba fight could have been scored for cordoba but having said that Poonswat was well able to mix it with him.

While I think he has a good high defence and reasonable movement I think dunne can win this one. Poonswat has a tendency to leave himself open when he is on the attack and dunne is an excellent counter puncher.

I think this guys strenght and power is not what everyone is making it out to be. He hit Sithchatchawal (who i don't rate) clean and flush a couple of times and he seemed to take it. He still got to him in the end alright though.

Dunne's chin is my major worry in this fight. If he avoids taking a big punch and is in simalar condition to his fight against Cordoba, I see him pulling off victory here. The jab and left hook should bring him a points decision.

Poonswat is no manny pacquaio (honestly who talks this bull****) but he is dangerous.

To some up Dunne by wide UD (i don't think poonswat gets close to him on points) or poonswat by KO. Poonswat has the skills to manufacture at least a few very good shots. I hope dunne can take them like he did against cordoba.

    Come on Dunne.
