    Cotto?
    Pacquiao?
    Mosely?
    Other? (Name)

Q2. What potential softer opponents could be in line to be cherry picked?

    1. Mosley. Mosley showed that he still VERY MUCH has it against Margarito. His speed, size, chin, etc., all would provide Mayweather with a serious test.

Pacquiao, as I said before Saturday night, will get beaten up by Mayweather if the fight comes off, I suspect. That said, it would make for a great fight since it would greatly improve the all-time standing of the winner. Pacquiao would go to Top 10 or better All-Time with a win, imo.

Cotto would be a great win for Floyd, but I see it as a good style match-up for Floyd. He'd pick Cotto apart.

    2. Berto, De La Hoya rematch.

Gasman this whole thread is just more hate. Any boxing fan in their right mind saw that FMJ is by far the P4P kind and NONE of those fights would be hard for Mayweather.

Cotto - Cotto is in no way fast enough and will gas out. Mayweather will hit him a lot in the final rounds. I do think this would be the most competitive fight though because Cotto would at least have fast feet.

Mosely - This is the same guy that Cotto boxed to a UD, right? Are you or anyone else thinking that FMJ could not do boxing what Cotto could? Hell no. Another UD loss.

Pacquio - Yeah right. Pac will be KOed. Point blank. He isn't skilled enough. Don't confuse "fun to watch" with boxing skills. The guy is exciting. That is it.

If you had any sense you would have thrown Margarito and Paul Williams into the list, but you are talking out of your a$$ so it is understood. Margarito due to chin, stamina, reach, and pressure. Paul Williams due to work rate, reach, and stamina.

Cherry picking? STFU! Who is out there that asked for a fight and didn't duck?

Mosely - Sore tooth and vacation.
Margarito - Wanted the fight on HIS schedule though he was the opponent.
Cotto - Wanted to pay less than a Margarito fight.
Pacquio - Mayweather stated he would pay JMM to step aside if Pac wanted to get it.

    Get your history right hater.

Do you really think it is worth putting Williams on that list? Williams is a light middleweight, Mayweather has just beat a lightweight and the most we can hope for is that he will take on a solid welter.

I have already posted on other threads that I rate Mayweather p4p Number 1 and that I would pick him to beat Mosley, Pac and Cotto as I think he is such an elite ATG. I think Mosley would be the toughest fight out of the three and it would be the most intriguing.

I am curious to get some views from the knowledgable guys on here which realistic fights out there would be the hardest. Williams weight and long reach/style means that he will never come close to getting a fight with Mayweather - so a pointless discussion imo.

As much as I rate and respect Mayweather, he fully deserves criticism for cherry picking and making easier fights for himself. Now try to take a deep breath before you reposte. :good

i think cotto has the style to give floyd a lot of problems a consistant body head combo attack, good leg movement and one of the best jabs in boxing, as for mosley, if cotto was able to out box him then i think PBF could do the same.

Have2 wait and see if Cotto still has it, if he can still time speed, and how he handles Pac. Cotto has a quick powerful jab and is probably the best body puncher of the bunch, witch are two must haves in beating Floyd. Cotto would never be in danger of losing steam because Mayweather wouldn't press the fight nearly as often as Margo does or clench as often as Mosley does.

...and Mayweather won't cherry pick and duck fighters any longer, will he? I think he's backed in2 a corner, he has 2 fight the best....right????
