I will suggest that you watch Ward vs. Kessler i Oakland US Nov. 21. :bbb If your are still around then, we can discus the matter again :deal
Awww:?...... Guess i'll just have to hope the other guys in this Super6 thing are even worse. (ok - bit of a long shot after this analysis. But one is allowed to dream:good)
**** off Thats just bull****. Your just one of these bitter little Calzaghe haters who fail to give him ANY credit what so ever We'll see come Super Six just how good Kessler is
being I was here back then, most Calzaghe fans were slagging the guy off. It was only after his incredible performance, despite losing, that most gave him a lot more credit. Anyway, no speed, no power? What? Look at his face, for having no defence he looks remarkably fresh.
Kessler is not overrated, he in my opinion was mismanaged with Palle. Kessler might have deficiencies, but to call him overrated is being obnoxious. He has been in the ring with respectful opposition and the Super Six is his chance to shine. Will he beat all the competitors? That remains to be seen, but judging from polls and opinions, he has the overwhelming odds in his favour.
First off even I don't think Kessler is a great fighter, I think he's a good fighter and the best we Danes have ever had. He is good at what he does, which is a powerful and fast 1-2 combo when his opponent enters his target box. To be great he needs more rounds against qualified opponents, which he will get in the super 6 and to broaden his arsenal and work on defense. I don't think we will see new weapons in his offense. Kessler will probably be working on his physique and shaking the ring rust he showed signs of in the Perdomo fight. He has had a long history of injuries which he seems to have overcome now so expect to see the fittest Kessler to date
Really? Then why did I root for Kessler in that fight, and pick him to make the proper adjustments to win a rematch? :think
That sounds about right. If Kessler was beaten by an elite fighter it wouldn't be absolute proof he isn't elite (as one elite could be slightly or somewhat better than another elite). But, he was beaten by Joe Calzaghe. So, there is no confusion at all about his relative abilities. He obviously isn't elite on any kind of historical basis. He is just pretty good relative to the demonstrated talent pool in the division of today. His comparative standing will surely be clarified by his performance(s) in the tournament.
