According to another site, Marquez plans to go to 140 and dominate that division. He has his eyes set on Hatton or other fighters in the division and it's a packed division so Marquez won't find too many problems getting major fights. Marquez also stated he plans to make history and despite his loss to Mayweather he's proud to be able to at least compete in that one despite hitting the canvas. Most important is he's also proud how he wasn't KO'd like many thought he will be and handled the punches well while trying to land his own. His return will be in 2010.

so otherwise he will vacate at 135....

leaving the door open for katsidis, valero, maybe juan diaz to be lineal at LW.....

also gives marquez time to heal the body.....he has fought pacquiao, casa, diaz, and mayweather in the past 2 years.....time to take a vacation....

I'm not as knowledgeable as you guys are in boxing but isn't 140 a jr. WW or is it light WW? Just asking.

I actually think that Hatton fight is a good one, one i can see both men winning depending on differant variables.

But the fight id like to see him in most right now is probably Valero....

I'm sure Roach will now push hard for a Khan-JMM fight in 2010.

Depends on the governing bodies. The division is also called Super Lightweight by one of em, can't think of which. Why?
    Who knows?:huh

140= super lightweight, junior welterweight, or light welterweight.

That's exactly what he said, he's taking the rest of the year off to rest and have fun, his return is planned early or mid 2010.

I don't think Roach wants to get rid of Khan so soon unless he's seriously ill and can't be bothered.

There are many good fights at 140 to make. Didn't Valero say he plans to move up to 140?

The WBC goes by super-WW, SLW, SBW, SFW, etc...rather than junior-whatever.
