Floyd beats both. Leon at his best can trouble Patterson but isn't in the same league. Michael is a little better than Leon but far from a top 20 HW like I believe Patterson is.

I think he convincingly beats Leon Spinks, but Michael might actually have a small chance at squeaking out a close decision. Floyd would probably be favored against both though.

Oh, well if you put it that way, Leon holds him while Michael hits him w/ 20 unanswered "Spinks Jinx"

I recall a bit of not-so-serious talk of Floyd coming back to challenge Leon in 1978. Floyd was "only" 43 at the time.

208 lb Michael Spinks bombed out 238 lb Jerry Cooney.

Fallin' Floyd will think the Spinks Jinx is Ingo's Hammer of Thor revisited.

floyd isnt an easy target ala cooney i dont think he would let spinks do his walk about either. a clever pressure fighter with quick hands i think would be able to pick michael off.

leon - floyd would be a much more appealing fight, leon comes in hard possibly knocks floyd down by a stray lead right hand. maybe in round 4 leon gets caught by a left hook coming in, either hurting him badly which floyd would pounce upon him or knocking him cold.

Floyd had a washboard stomach up until his 50's and beyond from what I've heard one of our fellow classic posters say.

Would have liked to see Patterson get a final big payday like that anyway, plus matches like Sharkey/Louis, generation gap matches, have always interested me.
