Wow, they dropped the hammer on Marquez considering nobody expected him to win.

Hopkins would be on the verge of dropping off of my list for inactivity since there's no sign of a fight in sight, but it's not quite to that point yet.

5 Welterweights in the top 10 and a 6th who just fought there is too much. Looks like a sign of laziness, desire to hype the biggest money fights, or both.

i don't know...williams seems high but i see no reason, especially after winky, not to put him there. chad dawson has earned a spot at the bottom. calderon should be on the list for pure talent, jmm could be higher and chris john hasn't done anything in YEARS to warrant consideration. a controversial win over jmm may have been good enough two years ago, beating juarez is not

Also if Mosely is ahead of Cotto, because he beat the guy who beat him, then Cotto should be ahead of Paul Williams, because he beat the guy who beat him Quintana, just doesn't seem to work. Styles make fights and you will not see Cotto look bad against another fighter not named Clottey. Even in the fight against Margarito he looked great.

Dawson's a damn good fighter, but I have to wonder why he's on the list and Wlad Klitschko isn't, and I mean that seriously. Light Heavyweight is actually worse than the heavies right now, and Dawson didn't get a chance to prove himself against the other top guys in that division in Calzaghe and Hopkins. Light heavyweight isn't deep enough to support a P4P ranking without beating Hopkins or Calzaghe- 168 is significantly better than it and there's no super middleweights on the list.

I don't blame Chad for not getting those fights, but I can't just give him the ranking even if it's not his fault Hops or Joe wouldn't fight him. If we're going over the last few years, Wlad would deserve a spot just higher than Dawson for me.

    1. FMJ
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Hopkins
    4. JMM
    5. Cotto
    6. Mosely
    7.Williams
    8. John
    9.Hasegawa
    10. Donaire

Then Dawson, Calderon, Rafa, Vic, Caballero, Juanma, etc. (However, any of these could plausibly replace Donaire).

Fair post. Wlad gets **** because he's so much bigger than evryone else there and people hate his style. Dawson gets a lot of credit for beating Adamek who is better than anyone Wlad beat with that said LHW is still a better division than HW.

I know the list is very subjective to a boxing fan but Pac should still be #1.

From the U.S.:2. Floyd "Money" Mayweather, 3. Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins, 4. "Sugar" Shane Mosley, 8. Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire* & 10. "Bad" Chad Dawson =6
from the Philippines: 1. Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao & 8. Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire* = 2
From Puerto Rico: 6. Miguel Angel Cotto & 9. Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon = 2
From Mexico: 7. Juan Manuel "Dinimita" Marquez = 1
*Donaire ranked as being from both The U.S. and the Philippines.
6/10 is a majorty but I'm not sure I would call that dominating.
