I definitely think Lindsay has the skills to beat him, im just a little worried that he hasn't fought since April.

    Thoughts.

i think simpson on points. can't see him being fased by the crowd the way appleby was as simpson is used to fighting away from home.

I certainly hope so, but like yourself, I am in the dark about this one.

Maybe some of our 'inside info' men like Jeffro Thomasro & Alba can fill us in?(not literally of course);)

Yep, I hope it is eventually signed though - best fight that can be made in the division right now and a real treat for the fans.

aah, so I have someone to come in and dig me up 'on the spot' when Im having my nightly rant then:think

    ahh just kidding:D

I was actually going to make a thread about the Holmes & Ali fight, I finally watched it on YT a couple of nights ago. Wasnt sure if it would go down well on this forum though, & theres no way I would do a thread on the general, well, cos its the general! & I hate posting there. Too many people talking loud & saying nothing.
Welcome to the late night world of Dunky:D

Holmes v Ali is one of those fights that are brushed under the carpet nowadays, & thats kinda why I watched it. Also, cos I used to be a Holmes fan in my younger days after I read his book, but thanks to the internet I have now viewed most of his high profile fights, & I have went from being a Holmes fan to a Holmes doubter.

When I say doubt, I mean I doubt if he really should be classed as a heavyweight ATG. & his performance against Ali only added fuel to my doubting fire.

Well you did ask, didnt you;) I know you didnt, but humour me. Thats if you are even still up. & if you dont want to reply? Thats fine by me, cos Im only thinking out loud. I will do what I do anyway, regardless!

As a massive fan of Ali (how could you tell ;)), I have never seen the Holmes fight, and I don't really want to - but from what I have read, I wouldn't read too much into Holmes performance that night, because apparently he was holding back from really punishing Ali.

Watch his fights against Cooney and Shavers (the first fight were he was very untested at that stage) to restore your faith in him as an ATG and the Norton fight, because it shows his character...and its a great fight :yep:good

Edit: This thread has taken a drastic change in topic
