Yeah he's about 6'2 or 6'3 but him being so skinny makes him look even taller.

Yeah a buddy of mine that I play ball with in the morning boxes professionally (Pedro Serrano) has met Paul Several times and said he's about my height 6'3.

Based on what? He sits down on his punches a bit more now, that's pretty much all I can tell. He's still wide open defensively and very sloppy/inaccurate with his punches. Not a recipe for any kind of success against Floyd. Combine that with the fact that he doesn't really even utilize his height and you in fact have a recipe for disaster against Floyd, who'd get the better of him inside or out with sharp single counters and quick combinations. It would be a clinic.

Christ! I know I can't get anywhere below 200 without fainting. I know myself and I think Pimp C are around your height and 215 lbs is ideal when I'm eating right and training...Pimp C on the other hand gets to much of that dirty south home cooking I think he's pushing 230 lbs.

I was a pretty half-assed analyst with a lot of knowledge back then. Things change, in fact my opinions on many things boxing related change often, as I'm open-minded and constantly trying to expand my viewpoints. The same can't be said for very many posters on here, very few as a matter of fact. Drives me pretty insane when everyone thinks they have everything figured out. It's ignorance.

Anyways, having actually analyzed Williams's style, main attributes, and weaknesses, I can say pretty conclusively that I'd favor Floyd by a large margin. I'd also be willing to bet a lot of money on it.

I remember when Quintana fought the Columbian hype job and schooled him with his bootleg Wilfredo Benitez impression, he did the same with Paul though in the second fight he did exactly what you said. Paul sat down on his punches and caught Quin cold...I still feel if Quin would have made it out the first couple rounds he would have at least showed us some more images of his first performance.

Agreed. I doubt a repeat of the second fight would happen again in a series of 10 fights. It's just one of those things that rarely happens but is always possible in the sport of boxing, even from fighters not considered punchers. Check out Nunn/Kalambay.

Yeah well it's all a question of what type of frame you have..I am very narrow shouldered. There are people of all types of bodies and all weights haha.

I'm athletic and lanky but not overly skinny either.

Stopped down at the Southside Boxing Club today. There was a kid working on the timing bag, guessing he was around 17 years old. The kid was at least 6'3 and from a distance looked like Williams, definitely built like him . Not much later, Jack walked by
and I said, Jack, that looks like Paul Williams, he started laughing. Just thought I had to throw that in there. Anyhow, Pav by decapitation , for some reason, Jack agrees.

Williams is a legit 6'1" or 6'2". I have stood next to him and I am 6'3" and was barley taller than him.

Guillermo Jones anybody? Every bit of six four and fought for a world welterweight title. He's now one of the top Cruiserweights and carries 200 pounds pretty well.

Agree. I'm six-three, long legs, long arms, wide-shouldered, run a ton of miles, but my body type is such that I can never get a six-pack and don't look muscular, but not skinny either. 200 is a good weight for me, 190 is lean and super fit, 185 or lower is refugee looking. It's all about body type.
