    Hey guys
I posted the same response of the Super 6 Tourney.

Vic and Lenny Zappa's fight telecast will not be televised at all. I spoke to Elias Nasser Vics manager and he told me that main Event are showing UFC. I dont know what their exuse will be this time but Vic is a six time world champ and our best prospect in Australia Lenny Zappa is making his debut on the Tim Bradley / Vic D undercard.

It is a f&*@*# DISGRACE ! These jokers are happy to make the cash from boxing when it suits them , we should all boycott Main Event. I hope another channel picks it up.

I'll assume that will be very interesting news to the folk at SKY.

Actually i like it as well, if i have the option of putting it on at home it'll cost me $40, but now the decision is made for me, go to Star City and drink 100 schooners and lose hundreds on the tables :good

In the event that SKY don't show it (and I'll find out soon enough) I wouldn't be surprised to see it turn up on FOX in the weeks afterward. They have started showing US cards a few weeks after the event lately.

Not ideal, but better than nothing.

GOOD LUCK to SKY if they show it!

I watched the Mayweather v Marquez at the Bush Inn - 1 of 3 showing the telecast in Melbourne and it was absolutely packed by main event time! Normally, telecasts get the 10 or so regulars but I was happy for this hotel because it's been consistently showing the big fights and I'm sure they would have recouped some of their earlier losses on costly fights that very few have seen....

I watched the fight at Panthers Leagues and normally there is maybe 5 people there watching but they had a decent crowd for the Mayweather Marquez fight.

Interestingly enough, at the 1 pub in WA that showed Mayweather-Marquez, they also had on the UFC live. With the sound turned down.

The Greenwood was packed as well (though I suspect it was mainly to celebrate my birthday) but I did keep an eye on how many people were watching the UFC compared to the boxing. At its peak, the UFC could count 10 viewers, the boxing 400+.

I learnt a few weeks ago that my longheld beliefs that Boxing owns the UFC in the PPV market is wrong. I was stunned to find that out. But where the boxing wins out is in the pubs & clubs venues. I asked Mat Brooks about this and he told me they have no plans to ever show UFC PPVs as obviously they can only cater to the pubs & clubs market and for UFC, that market is non-existent.

Mat is a huge boxing fan and I know he wants to get SKY back into the #1 spot for boxing. Note every time SKY do a broadcast they'll show an additional fight after the main event with Canvas Classics, something that gives the venues a little extra for their buck. In the case of the venue I was at on Sunday it helped keep some viewers there for another pint. (Guilty, and I did spend most of the trip home taking deep breaths of air from the passenger side window, cheers Mark).

I'll keep cheerleading for SKY through my personal experiences dealing with both of the main players.

Also with Sky atleast you know they actually give a **** about the sport, as they have their own presenters and experts discussing the fights in the lead up and aftermath.

But I'm with you man. I've been fed up with Main Event for a while now. I got my Foxtel basically for Main Event and the big fights, but now I wish they stop buying fights. I'd now rather watch a fight on SKY at the pub than on Main Event in the comforts of my own home I'm that sick of what Main Event have been doing.

Honestly boxing fans are treated like garbage especially in Australia. **** paying $40 or $50 to watch a 2 hour sporting event on your TV at home. Absolute joke. Fair enough if it was a major superfight like a Leonard-Hagler, De La Hoya-Trinidad, or Mayweather-Pacquaio then a $30 PPV would be fair enough to watch in your own home. Going to the pub is also **** if your a hardcore boxing fan who likes to watch the fight intently to score each round. You have to put up with sitting 20 meters from the tv or screen, often the sound is not turned up or you can't hear the sound due to idiots talking absolute rubbish constantly. Then sometimes you turn up at a pub or club and they don't have it on because some ****wit wants to watch the football or cricket or whatever which they could be watching at home themselves.

The solution to this reality is this -
Download the fight on your computer a few hours after the event without hearing the result and watch in peace and quite for a charge of $0. This is what i do now.
