    lets be real here

    against odlh = 2.4 mil
against hatton = 900k in the states - 2 mil in the uk
    against jmm = 1 mil

i mean cmon.... you dont have to like the guy ... thats fine.. but face the facts and give credit where credit is due.. this guy can move ****ing #'s... the days of saying floyd cant sell are gone...

Floyd is smart...and he did draw the "I hope Mayweather get's his ass handed to him crowd", but Golden Boy and HBO did promote the hell out of this as a major fight when in reallity it was a tune up

Exactly~ these kids always assume its Floyd who sells the PPV thats not the truth, the audience there was as roach said 80% mexican, and I am sure thats round the same as the PPV audience.

Why are people so obsessed with what this guy "draws"? Some of you would justify him fighting Calderon if the PPV sold well.
I'm only concerned with seeing the best fights, which would sell well without question. I believe that Mayweather would clean out the WW division but the fact that he avoids fighting anyone in his weightclass in favour of bull**** catch weight matches is frustrating.
Mayweather v. Mosley, Cotto, Williams, Margarito all sell better than the Marquez fight.

I think any fight that gets a 24/7 tends to sell well.
But, Floyd does have pretty good name recognition; something very few boxers manage to get these days. With his loudmouth antics, with HBO 24/7 behind him, and appearances on WWE and Dancing With Stars, Floyd has molded himself into a marketable attraction. To deny that would be foolish. What would really be nice is if that Floyd's popularity was because he was an exciting boxer. In the end it's probably bad for boxing if this guy attracts new fans only to disappoint them with a safety-first snoozer of a performance.

Roach wasn't even there. Anyway, I'm sure Mexicans supported the hell out of this fight. But let's be real, this fight will more than double JMM's best previous ppv numbers. JMM is not a ppv draw. I don't think it's a coincidence that every guy Floyd has fought on PPV has done their best PPV numbers against Floyd and received their biggest payday against Floyd.
