I think Floyd would kill himself.
He would be like Judah at first saying he didn't lose. Then when the reality hit. He's depression would be massive. For that is one thing he cares about the most in life it seems.

its a fair point but its hard to judge how effective Marquez is at welter unless he fights at the higher weight again. do you not think Mosley would have Koed Marquez

Mosley is still very fast, but not the lightning speed that PBF is. I also think he has weaknesses in his game that Floyd can exploit and unlike other close fights with Mosley, I don't see him being able to do that all important steal in the last 2 rounds against PBF.

Pacquaio isn't powerful enough to get Floyd out of there, due to Floyd's defense, better than average chin and the fact that to hit Floyd, you're going to get hit. Floyd is looking faster than he ever has as well, in that last fight.

As for weight - I just don't buy that 12lbs makes a difference for fighters who are that skilled. In lesser skilled fights, it matters but when two guys are pure boxers like Marquez and Mayweather Jr, it's less about size, more about skill, speed and power.

I don't think either had power advantages over one another, so it was skill and speed.

Aren't you the guy who thought Ali would be beaten by the Klitschko's? Just want to clarify before I actually start taking your posts seriously?

I don't see Mosley being able to avoid the shots that Floyd managed to avoid and I think that makes it a closer tougher fight.

Remember how Marquez nullified Pacquaio? Remember Pacquaio is also coming up in weight and has looked as powerful and as sharp at 140 as he did before that.

The real acid test for Pacquaio is Cotto, but if he wins that - surely you can start to see why size shouldn't be worried about at this level of boxing.

Ali would be beaten by the Kiltschko's.
No one has ever given a gameplan Ali can effectively employ to beat either of the Klitschko brothers, that's because it doesn't exist.

The irony here is, most don't see size as an issue for Ali going up against guys that are 4" and 5" taller than he is, 40lbs heavier.

Yet, size is a HUGE issue in this debate, because of 4 pounds difference.

You won't find anyone here on the forum who would say Marquez beats Mayweather even if they were the same size. Close the book on that one.

Ali beaten by the Klitschko's! Sorry dude, I know you mean well...but...

Boxing, like every other sport has moved on.

The crude power sluggers that existed in the day of Ali that he had issues with, combine that with great boxing technique and correct punching style like you get out of both Klitschkos and you start to see why I have that idea.

He can't use the jab to good effect, he's not going to knock out either Klitschko and there is a very real likelyhood that he could get knocked out.

Ali could never stop a Klitschko. That's a privilege belonging only to All-time greats like Corrie Sanders.

Just one more for fun. Sugar Ray Leonard vs Floyd Mayweather Jr at 147lbs? Who wins?

Corrie Sanders fought a younger version of Klitschko - why hasn't he had any issues such as that in the last six years while systematically destroying everyone he's come across?

It'd be like judging 1980 Ali and saying "Klitschko spanks him!" - judge them in their primes. Ali had a style that capitalized on his speed and size, using the jab. Both Klitschkos nullify that.

As for SRL vs Floyd Mayweather Jr - that's a hard fight to call. SRL had the tendency to turn up undercooked and unfocused in some fights where as Floyd has never really had an off night with the exception of Castillo where he had an injury.

I'm leaning towards Floyd, because he has handspeed as good as Sugar Ray Leonard and fights in a style that would make it difficult for SRL to box in the way he liked to box.

The Heavyweight division is atrocious, and Wladimir has indeed been fighting C level fighters en route to clearing up the division. It's not his fault, but it does seem to be a reality.

If Samuel Peter can have Wladimir on ***** street, I'm pretty sure the faster, more athletic, more talented Muhammad Ali who also possesses better footwork and a great ametur pedigree could do the same thing.

Ray just had a harder division to contend with, that'll be why he was in more competitive fights. He actually fought everyone there was too fight, also. :good

 Cool. Tell me another one.

Never thought this to be a trait of Calzaghe by any stretch of the imagination.

Unless you are classifying a 42 year old Hopkins and a past prime Eubank as defensive wizards.

pac has a STACKED resume??? and check BHOP's resume when he was PBF's age....he face 20 mandos in a row...pac fought barrera who was a bit past it but a good win...morales 2-3 he was done...hatton got ko'd by floyd too...oscar lost to PBF at a higher weight when he was coming off a ko of mayorga and weighed 163 fight night...and floyd just destroyed marquez....floyd has beat JLC twice, ODLH, corrales, hatton, and he DESTROYED everyone else he has fought...i would like to see him fight mosely cotto or pac but I don';t see them posing the threat everyone seems to think he is....he will beat 2 of them just like when bhop got older he beat some good fighters...albeit smaller just like floyd....when he beats mosely and pac everyone will want him to move up and still call him a coward
