i think that was the time of the knee injury. if my memory serves me correct this was when he was hurt preparing for a fight and took his short retirement. yeah the sparring match is where the injury "occured"

And how do you know he wasnt going for the kill?

 

and the same can be asked how do you know he was? no one knows for sure if he was VS. Vitali but it is more likely he wasnt being that he was a sparring partner. he wasnt paid to be there to win he was there to prepare the man for a fight and give him rounds in the ring.

 

A sparring rumour is a bit different to what has actually happened on film. We don't know for sure if Vitali was knocked down and probably never will; there have been loads of weird and wonderful sparring stories over the years. We know for sure Arreola has been.

 

arreola isn't the guy to beat vitali. his best hope is a hail mary and vitali's chin is too good for that to happen...i see chris lasting about 6 or 7 before they pull him out.

 

the sparring really isnt the point i'm trying to convey. the point is walker is a good puncher and that is why he put arreola down. multiple shots with everything behind them. doesnt always take the best puncher to put a fighter down but a well placed shot can almost always do it.
