I never thought Cro Cop was as unbelievable a striker as people made out but how do you assess him after he was out struck in his last 3 losses - Kongo, Gonzaga and JDS.

Take away the fear of Cro Cop and he can be beaten standing.

back in the day, his striking was **** hot, and his legs kicks were the best in any form of MMA IMO

i remember in his pride heydays, his kick is lightning fast. like a counter punch. in case, a counter-kick. not many can do that. i've only seen a few

Dude you need to go away and watch some prime CC video's. The current CC is a pathetic imitation of the force he once was. That guy was a walking highlight reel. I wouldnt pay any attention to any of his fights in the UFC.

I agree. Cro on highlight reel i.e. vs Silva is shocking.

Hes one of the best ever although I found his striking alittle overatted just because I dont think its the greatest like everyone thinks. Compare it to Anderson Silva who IMO is the greatest MMA striker and he falls short. Cro Cops whole game is based around throwing left body or left high kicks that he doesnt set up or straight lefts that he doesnt set up. If they connect then obviously he can beat you down with it but mentally being strong goes along way vs Cro Cop. Look at the Fedor fight he did get staggered by one left hand but he kept coming and backing Mirko up and IMO got the better of the standup in that fight.

Look at the guys resume and who he has beaten. He beat them, being a striker.

One word OWGP. The most fearsome and focused CC iv ever seen. He was downright scary. You think he could do that to Barnett right now? Yeah right!

Great fighter, but his striking was perhaps a tad overrated. His boxing was mediocre at best and if you could get past and neutralize his kicks he was just a decent striker.

But I dont think i've seen anybody in MMA with the kicks as powerful as his.

His boxing was mediocre at best? lol, it sucked so bad that he completly tooled Wanderlei with it on the second fight.
And neutralize his kicks? Lol, the only one fighter I saw who did it sucesfully standing for a long period of time, against the best CC, is Fedor.

Classic:good Prime CC would give in anyone hell and he could beat most any night. Today's version is a shell.
