This is how I picked for those fights:

    Williams over Marg
    Cotto over Marg
    Darch over Donaire
    Darch over Mijares
    Pac over Hoya
    MAB over JMM
    Hatton over Pac

:good recent boxers who are considered mega stars were ODLH and Tyson pbf and pac ain't even close. IMO one of the most obvious indications to be considered a mega star is that if ordinary people (not boxing fans) recognize your name like it is somehow synonymous to the sport you're in. and ODLH and Tyson at some point achieved that.

I love the way you lot act as if these spurious terms, such as "mega-superstar", are real things.

FLOYD is the VILLAIN of boxing. He will constantly be involved in a mega-fight (a lot of people watch to see him lose a fight, these arent even his fans!) up until he loses that zero"0". Once its gone, nobody will be watching him fight anymore. Except his fanatics ofcourse.

Mayweather is the biggest star in boxing. I don't know if I would consider him a mege-superstar, whatever the **** that means? It's like Mayweather hates having fans when he says **** like this.

At first i said yey great post:good Then i thought na shane and him would be big. THe problem with floyd is he thinks everyone is there to see him:huh Ok floyd fight berto or timmy bradley and see if you get a million buys? yey didnt think so? Regardless of what he says mosley would be big, and it wouldnt be just because they wanna see floyd. I think just any Non boxing sports fan would tune in for that one

there are no beckham's or bolt's in boxing, those are true sporting superstars that crossover into the mainstream and recognised consistently by your average man on the street, floyd doesn't fit into this mould. boxings last megastar retired on his stool against the pacman. before that we had tyson and the fab four. but not much in between.
