This goes for both Manny and Floyd numbers, before their fights against Hatton and DLH, you could make an argument Cotto's numbers are very similar. Imagine if Cotto was given the chance to face Hatton or DLH, where his numbers will be as well. Not saying better numbers, but def. if a Cotto and DLH fight would had occur, I would say it would have done very similar numbers to Manny, if not even more. Mayweather is not the only mega-superstar, but the main attraction right now out of any boxer. His character and the role hes undefeated and just came out of retirement, would keep on helping him sell. Manny right now is becoming popular with Hollywood stars, but his numbers before DLH or Hatton were very similar to Cottos. Is it me, but if you beat DLH or Hatton you become rated #1 pound for pound:rofl

umm no...u said this prior to the floyd jmm fight...floyd is levels above pac..

How many buys did pac-jmm 2 do btw ?? And how many did floyd-jmm do? Now go look at the oscar and ricky fights and compare those #'s too....

Pac is not on the level of a floyd..if he was than his fights with oscar, ricky, and jmm woulda done many more buys than what they did

If Floyd is a mega star, then he will do mega boom like supernova and will convert into big black hole :D

You Americans have obsessions about stars. Its quite funny :p No offence

floyd jr. may not be the "mega superstar" in boxing today but neither is anybody else. but i do say that floyd jr. is the number one ppv attraction and his numbers back it up.

I'm sure it varies by country and by community. Pac is nearly as big if not equal to Mayweather in the U.S.

Of course idiots here will vote "No", Mayweather isn't exactly appreciated here so don't expect you're proving something with yet another clowning attempt.

Fact remains, Mayweather nearly made the same as Pac vs DLH fighting MARQUEZ.

Ass kiss, start endless threads and change tampons it won't change NOTHING. :deal

Mayweather barely registers on the scale of mega stars in the universe of sports however he is the closest thing.
Other than some national heroes the world doesn't care about boxing until a mega fight takes place.

Premiere star in the sport throughout the world. Virtual demi-God to 91 million Filipinos.

Unfortunately for him, he's not big enough to beat Triple H's bud. He can do better than JMM did, but let's be real -- Pac started his career fighting at 106 lbs.

You can get away with mugging aging, overtrained corpses like OLDH or worn and limited chaps like RH.

But taking on a legit, highly skilled guy in his prime who is naturally about 2+ weight classes heavier than you?

    Not going to work, IMO.
