Should Prizefighter become a recognised BBBOC belt?

    yeh pretty good, was for armed services i believe

    there might have been more in the tournaments but only the final 4 reported as i believe one of the tournys had a 1st series listed

    I agree with scurla, it is a bit like 20-20....

    IMO it would be a better tournament having two weights on the same night, only four fighters in each, semis over four and finals over eight.

    I still cannot believe these tournaments still happen! They nearly brought the sport down in the early 70s.

    If you want to watch three rounders in a tournament concept, go and watch your local amateurs fight!

    Three rounders involving pro fighters are what is known as exhibition fights, they should have no result attached to them, as it is not pro boxing.

    how similar is prizefighter to them

    Its a similar thing but contests like this have been happening in travelling fairs donkeys years before the 1918 comp

    It is a night at an amateur show, that is why Audley looked so good. It is not pro boxing, and last night got even worse, what the hell were them dancers about?

    All pro fighters are by definition Prize fighters, if you want to fight and see three rounders, stick to the amateurs and let the proper men fight pro contests!
