The balls and character he showed in losing. That doesn't happen in any other sport except maybe MMA, and not as frequently there.
Yeah, nothing like fighting nobodies looking like a slob until you get a title shot and then get humiliated beginning to end against the Champ.
I love all these assholes ripping Chris on the boards. He gave a much better fight than any of the Klits' opponents in a long time and all they can do is crack jokes about his weight. They'd **** their pants if they had to get in the ring though.
i don't feel one bit of sorrow for arreola. why should i? he didn't deserve to win! he came in looking like a rotund babalooie and fought like one too. i give all props to vitali for taking his job seriously, training extremely hard and seriously and for doing the job he should have done in making arreola look like a sloppy two-ton tuna flopping all over the ring.
Funny you say that with ****ing Hatton in your avatar. That dude was the biggest hype job in the history of the sport. Club fighter to British hero!
He has no heart! If he had heart, he'd say no thanks to the Beer and Doritos™ that he stuffs his face with all year around. Sitting in the ring and getting beaten up for 30 minutes takes less determination than living a good clean lifestyle and training hard EVERY DAY. For that is what it takes to be a world class athlete. Every day he had the opportunity to make himself better, to train hard, to eat right, to learn his craft. Arreola is just a strong guy who stands there and swings. He has no heart. What he does is easy; a few minutes of discomfort for a large pay check. He just happens to be a naturally big strong guy, and he wastes that potential because he lacks discipline.
jennifer love hewitt, you're observations are spot on. arreola doesn't train like a champion so he'll most probably will never be one. he's lazy and frankly he deserves that ass beating he took tonight.
If Chris was 30 lbs. lighter the result would not have changed. He's in excellent condition not just for his weight, but period. Apparently none of you guys took note of the fact that Chris was not winded at all throughout the fight. He continuously pressed the action while taking shots in the process. He took the fight very seriously. The guy's got grade A heart and irrepressible determination. It's just that tonight he was confronted with an opponent who had superior reach and was hell-bent on using it and was fully prepared to run or hug his way out of any potential danger Arreola might pose. This would still hold true whether Arreola came in at 250 or 220.
Wrongish. If he was better conditioned he would be quicker, and he would be able to throw more punches... Perhaps not enough to beat Klitschko, but he'd at least know that he gave it his all. If he was more dedicated, he might even know a few more tricks, be able to adapt... Arreola is lazy, and therefore less than his potential.
jennifer, you have it right again. a lighter arreola would allow him to throw more punches and combinations. with the added weight he really didn't give himself much of a chance to compete.
Arreola fought his heart out and did mexicans proud....I think he will comeback strong and still end up being a top 10 heavy
Arreola has heart and boxing skills. But he should work on his weight and should live like a sportler between fights. Chris was too slow on his feet because of his weight. He can be Champ if he will and live like a boxer between fights. He makes a good fight but too much weight and he took to many shots. But he shows heart and he could be a factor in the heavyweight division.
CA is why i love boxing as well! I knew VK would win tonight... But I think if chris comes back and trains harder then ever then he could beat alot of fighters out there!! Lets face it who could beat a klitschko?? those guys are pretty damn good!!... The post fight interview from chris was what you call raw emotion.... he talks straight from his heart!! The part that had me laughing was when he was like "he was ****ing me up but I could of finished, **** man, ****"!! LOL he just says whatevers on his mind
