Why not throw Leon Spinks in there? Apparently everyone can beat Vitali. Remember one thing, he was up 4-2 when he was stopped by Lewis on cuts.

You've got some real serious issues. How many anti Vitali threads are you going to start? Did you lose your allowance on this fight?

Clowns like you are not helping ESB or boxing. No wonder it's become a niche sport.

Vitali would beat most of those past HW champs. Todays HWs are better. You may not like where they come from or what they look like - but that speaks volumes about you.

Really, where did I say that? I'm talking about a prime one. Idiot... unless you think I think now which means a dead Louis would still beat Vitali!

Yep, prime Bowe beats Vitali. Not the faded one that fought the Polish "thug"

Still school you in the classic section.

Because Spinks can't. Not the style nor toughness. Why not dissect the post rather than retorting with nothing to offer?

    Absolutely nuts.

Todays HW are better? Are you kidding me?

How is a fat plodding Arreola who is ranked #1 better than past HW? How about a 48 year old Holyfield beating a title holder in 2008! Chageov with his limited 1-2 offense. Klits are good, but the era sucks big time. If you think the HWs are better today you're a delusional **** that is a disgrace to boxing. Obviously you don't know your history.

So how much better is Morrison than Arreola? Think about it real hard.

And you proved your point... NOT!

This thread is a ****ing joke. He pitched a SHUT-OUT against a #1 rated contender. The fact is he knows how to use distance and angles better than any heavy I can remember. That, with his reflexes, kept him unscathed and Arreola so ****ed up his corner had mercy. I give him a chance against all you listed and as an absolute favorite over most.

Arreola is a slow-plodding fighter with loads of heart/chin. He's not a power puncher, but a combo puncher as he refers to himself. He's tough, but he's a catcher for Vitali. This 38 year old loses to most on the list. Arreola being #1 rated says more about the ERA than Vitali. I love Arreola but the guy has serious weaknesses and doesn't train as seriously as he should.

Love how your prop Arreola up. This statement is really funny coming from someone who is "unimpressed by Sonny Liston and his era." :rofl

Bowe was 28 when he fought Golotha. Get real. Biologically, he was in the prime of his life. He just was too lazy in the gym and mentally unable to be consistent enough to compete at the elite level.

    Rocky Marciano?

Wait... I guess he never lost so that doesn't count.

Sonny Liston? Well Ali dethroned him. Not someone of the calibre of Sanders, Byrd, or Brewster.

Hence prime. He was also a bit deteriorated from the Holy trilogy. If you think that's his peak than you're crazy.

I was thinking more like Joe Louis....I guess 25 consecutive title defenses in a span of 12 years ain't dominate no more.
