^^^ Yep... and I might add that Foreman is about the same height as Arreola and when he 1st won the title as a young man he weighed in at about 217 lbs.

Well he may have been a human punching bag, but after all those punches he was still standing...........the boy has some balls! Even Vitali was amazed.

Vitali is just too damn good and Chris has alot to learn, I think this loss will be good for him.

He was also 45 years old at the time... Arreola already looks like that at age 28 and how many heavyweight titles has he won exactly?

I sat back, crossed my arms and thought how long before someone brings up old George, you didn't disappoint.
As J.R stated, guy was 45 and really just coming back for a few paydays. 28 year old George looked the part.:good

But you did say Sam Peter was much better fighter than Arreola. Let's see what ESB thinks...

arreola just didnt throw enough punches, he needed to throw easily 3 times more than he did. and what happened his uppercut? he couldnt have led with it in this fight like he has before but after teeing vitali up a few times like he did i was crying out for him to throw it...
against a guy who is really skillful and much bigger than you why not at least give yourself a chance by being in shape. its not THAT ****ing hard to be in shape, espescially if that is the ONLY thing you have to do. i work a 50+ hour week and im in WAY better shape than that fat disgrace.
also did he quit on his stool? i wasnt watching in english and didnt get to see any interviews - if so why not stick out just another 6 minutes and not have the stoppage on your record + be able to say you took vitali the distance - if it was a ref stoppage then my bad....

incidentally i though it was turning in chris' favour slightly in 7 and gave him 8. a more fit and active arreola could have made this more competitive

so if vitali would have been completely and utterly dominated, punished, and made to look like an amateur, would there have been a thread about how great of a beating he can take, no doubt arreola is tough, but come on now, this is ridiculous. Fighters get credit for losing if they put up a good fight, not for just showing up and being a solid punching bag. This is silly it just shows how much people hate the klits instead of articles praising how good these guys are we talk about how good there opponents are at getting punched

this is arreolas job that he gets paid to due, and paid well, so dont make him seem righteous for fighting the heavyweight champion, theres dozens of heavys out there who would of lept at the oppurtunity. Arreola accepting a title shot is nothing to be praised for. If your a pro boxer you desire to fight the best, and you dont deserve props for it.

If he'd turned up for training camp around 240 - 250lbs then maybe he could have spent the time practising his skills and preparing for his opponent rather than just cutting flab....

Arreola will come back another day. I felt bad for him when he cried. Arreola will surely pick up a belt when the Klitschkos retire.

OKAY DECIDIED TO COME ONTHIS POST TO PRAISE ARREOLA ON HIS BALLSY EFFORT AND FOR THOSE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT HIS PUNCH OUT PUT HAVE OBVIOUSLY NEVER BEEN IN THE RING. ILL TELL YOU HE TRIED HIS ASS OFF BUT YOU CANT FIRE A CRAZY AMOUNT OF PUNCHES ON A GUY LIKE VITALI WHEN YOU CANT GET INSIDE. bOTTOM LINE CHRIS GAVE 110% IN THE FIGHT............OK BUT I AGREE WITH YOU COBBLER AND I THOUGHT THAT BEFORE THE FIGHT THEY TOOK THIS FIGHT TO SHORT(NOT THAT THE OUTCOME WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFF) BUT ARREOLA HAS LOT OF HEART INSIDE THE RING BUT HE HAS GOT TO SHOW IT OUTSIDE THE RING AND I POSTED ON THIS SITE ALREADY THAT HE SHOULD HAVE CAME INTO TRAINING CAMP IN SHAPE AND GOT INTO CHAMPIONSHIP SHAPE FOR THE BIGGEST FIGHT OF HIS LIFE! CHRIS HAS GOT TO GIVE IN THE GYM WHAT HE GIVES IN THE RING. SO CHRIS GET BACK TO THE GYM NEXT MONTH AND COME BACK BETWEEN 235-243 YOULL WHUP ASS:bbb:bbb

I think Chris did fine! He was trying and in my opinion he gave it a better fight than most.

This loss will do him good and might make him focused.

and for all the guys bitching about my George "Michellin man" Foreman remark........it was a joke! LOL
and Besides I think it was more skill than weight that did Chris in. George at 45 and fat gives Vitali a run for his money because he knew what he was doing........Chris has alot to learn!
