After watching the one sided beat down on Arreola last night, what kind of chance do you feel David Haye has on beating Vitali if they meet. I'm a fan of David haye but i can see a fight between them going down the same route as that last night.
I think at landing punches he's chances are greater as he's much faster than a ponterous Arreola...but on the flipside I doubt he could take as many shots as Arreola did and stay on his feet. So my pick would be Vitali KO inside 5...probs even inside 3. If Haye had a chin like Arreolas I'd pick him to have a good chance! But he doesn't.
Haye has skills he jus goes gung ho, but he would kno he has to use his skills n outbox vitali with speed and angles. I give haye a big chance in this fight as long as he stays intelligent!
He has a better chance to land punches than Arreola did , but there is no way he will take that sort of punishment and not get KO'd .... I honestly think Vitali would knock Haye out within 6
With his hand speed he'll be able to land a lot more clean punches than Arreola did, but you also have to factor in his chin. If it's really as bad as people think it is, it won't matter how many eye-catching powershots he lands because you know that eventually Vitali will spark him up with a big punch and knock him the hell out. What Haye has to do if he wants to compete at the top heavyweight level is improve his defense and overall skills. He needs to learn how to box in a disciplined manner and not allow himself to get out of control with his offense which often gets him hit and hurt. Right now I'd say Haye probably fights a more competitive fight than Arreola did, but gets himself stopped a lot sooner than Cristobal. Maybe he'll prove me wrong one day.
It is hard to say with Haye. On the one side he has ko power in both hands, speed, super reflexes and good footwork. On the other side he has a suspect chin and the tendency to be somewhat gun - ho. Valuev is first up for Haye and therefore we should wait and see how Haye does against the neanderthal before assessing his chances against a Klitschko.
more hope than expectation. I think Haye is the only other heavy who could beat him at the moment though, but thats not saying much
Well , Arreola is not Haye...So it's a bit useless to compare , however , what vitali vs arreola demonstrated is that he still has a solid workrate. And that's a huge advantage. Especially against Haye. Who's stamina is not always on his side.
I think Haye stands a very good chance with either brother. The fact he hasn't really proved himself at heavyweight is what makes that fight so interesting. He was a great cruiserweight. Hopefully we'll know more after the Valuev fight.
haye has a chance against wlad becuz his a more hesitant fighter and can becuz caught and knocked down with hayes speed. but vitali is fearless and just everything wlad is and more. dont honestly think that haye beats vitali also vitali's name ends with ALI.....coinicidence? i think not!!
I posted this in another thread: I was impressed with Vitali's performance last night but he certainly has declined (not belittling or berating him, just stating a fact) and I think the speed/power match up of Haye, plus his smaller stature could at least give VK a few questions to answer. VK will go into the fight a favorite yeah, but his stamina seems to be dropping off (even more so if Haye can make him miss a lot) and how will he react if he takes one of Hayes straight right hands completely flush? I know VK has a GREAT chin but David does carry increible speed and power, I don't think even Vitali could take them all night. But, as always, Davids chin and stamina leaves us with a big 'IF', stamina can be addressed and sorted, the chin ... cant be improved but with VK slowing and his power dropping off a little (imo), then maybe with some better defence, head/lateral movement etc, it wont be too much of an issue. We have to remember also that we're discussing David taking on the Vitali we saw last night; i think stylistically Haye will be a harder fight for Vitali (while it lasts) and also Vitali will have to fight at least one more fight (ie. at least one more training camp) before he meets Haye, so Haye may well face an even more faded Klitschko.
