Good point, but at the very least you have to admit he does carry power that would trouble a LOT of heavyweights (maybe even get the respect of granite chinned people like Tua, McCall etc).
I'm happily admitting Haye a) Is fighting high-risk fights, he bets the farm and isn't gun shy b) Has very good punch-precision, which IMO ranks above pure raw power or hand speed (compare to Sam Peter who might have a ton of raw power but lacks precision. I'd include Vitali here too, his accuracy is average at best) c) Is a highly talented boxer, has a lot of potential if he manages to put together a series of good wins but too early to say more. That's it. The rest is pure speculation. We simply don't know how he'd perform against a Tua "tank type". Nor do we know how he'd deal with an awkward southpaw like Gomez. Let's see those fights, they will answer of lot of questions about Haye.
Sure man, i'm with you on those points totally, especially Davids precision; it's something a lot of people seem to overlook. Wasn't picking a fight or anything
Haye would embarass Vitali with his speed, Vitlay looks awful when he's under pressure and looks like an old man when trying to run away which he did time after time. Wlad is the better brother, hits harder, quicker and more athletic all round.
who ****ing cares. Haye had his shot and he went for the easier fight. Haye himself said Valuev was the easier fight.:deal **** Haye. He would quit on his stool just like Peter and Arreola did:good
Vitali looks best under pressure. He loves Boxers to come right at him so he can counter them. You're completely wrong. Vitali looks bad against fighters that are tall enough so he is forced to trade with them instead of practicing his punch & run. See Lewis (6"5) and Hoffmann (6"7).
Not last night he didnt, when Arreola actually went for it in round 8 Vitali looked pretty distressed, he looked great countering Arreola when Arreola was plodding forward not really throwing any punches. I dont know if Vitali was just taking a breather or just tired because he came back strong the next round though. I firmly believe Vitali would get beat by Haye, he is not quick enough anymore to avoid what Haye can throw at him.
No chance, if he is to lose it will be through KO or points, no quitting. Not that it matters, Haye would be the one making Vitali quit, im convinced of that after last nights fight :hey
There is a chance Haye can beat Vitali, but the question is could Haye withstand the punishment he would have to go through in order to get within range. Big question mark there. No fighter has ever hit Vitali without being hit himself. One needs a chin AND a punch to win against Vitali. One or the other is not enough. Does Haye qualify? I think it's too early to tell.
chef have either of the klits ever come close to fighting ruiz it just seems strange that over the years they have never fought him
