Styles make fights........... Frazier would be easy to tag and KO for V.K., while Tyson had better defense than Frazier, so Tyson would last a little longer before making his exit............... Klit KO's BOTH dudes in a time machine....

Juan C. Gomez is a tricky southpaw with good hand speed, even at a soft 230 pounds....... No power there, but ring savy........ Gomez ain't no *****........ Kinda' like a southpaw James Young of the 70s...... No, not great, but hardly a *****.........

the crouching and ducking frazier is known for would leave one to conclude only thus: vk is going home with sore nuts! but belt retained.

Strangely, it's part and parcel of the goings on in a BOXING forum.

(You are right though, about us never knowing for sure.)

First, I think that the Klithcos bring a sound reasoning for a "Super Heavyweight" class. Chris A may weigh about the same, but he would have just been a big heavyweight in Ali's day.

I think the reason for bringing up Joe Frazier is that Chris needed to employ that kind of style to do anything. He seemed to just sit there with his "ear muffs" on at Vitali's punching range. And often times, Viltali was not moving, but just throwing punches. it appears to me that Chris should have stuck his head in his chest, pushed out just a little for punching room, and did what he said he was going to do in the interview - hit him in every spot possible.

I think Chris was overwhelmed by the event. His punches all looked "pushed", and he was lazy when he missed. And often times, Vitali made him pay for not paying attention.

Areola needs a better training team. They had no strategy for the night. And, in the interview, it looked as though they were not confident that Areola was even training properly. Interesting about Jim Lampleys final comments about how you can't take 10 days off and drink beer and expect to come in and fight a guy like Vitali.

Seriously, are we REALLY ****ing discussing Frazier/Klitschko for so many pages?

Three words, one outcome, Left ****ing hook.

If Ali had trouble keeping Frazier off him at the best of times, Frazier would simply waltz into Klitschko's comfort zone and pop him in the ****ing head like a zit.

I agree and I understand. It just bothers me how the brothers just dont get credit.... its like..
"well he beat this guy last night BUT he would never beat (fighter A) from 30 years ago"

Just give credit where credit is due

    You're right again !

    Too much hate and envy.

They are clearly the best HWs at the minute and Vitali (while well outside my top ten ATG HW list) head to head, is a top five or six alltime.

It's hard to time some one who don't come in much. Gomez felt the power and did not have championship will.
    Joe did of course.
    I like Joe.
I bought a ticket to Joe vs Ali 1, I was in a movie theater, with mostly blacks... 98% black.
I yelled Whop him Joe...well I had said, I did not like Ali since my man Moore. It was sort of odd, being foolish enough to holler that, surrounded by 100% anti Joe black audiance....

Frazer's prime was 195-205 pounds...and he came in fat for Foreman, believing the hype.
Being 1/2 blind he ducked into something he didn't properly see coming. And he was half blind in his right eye....which is why his very good right hand died.

OK we go back to when he had a good right hand and the good eye, against Mathis....some where after that he stopped using his right hand...I'd have to check if he was down to a hook only for Bonivania...he was down to a hook only vs Ali.

If we could give Joe his eye back...and it was his good left eye that was swollen shut...not his bad right eye, which was why his corner threw in the towel in Manila.

Vittili is 4 inches taller than Ali, with only one inch less reach. Vittili hits harder than Ali. Vitili can fight out of more styles than Ali.

This fight Vittili moved lots to Chris's left, to avoid Chris's right hand. With today's tapes, he'd be moving to the Frazier's right to avoid the hook.
His trainer would spot Frazier's right was not as good as before.
Vitili can fight with both hands up, one hand up or here no hands up...which was so very odd.

I actually seen Ali miss a jab....yep...a number of times actually...but I saw a whole lot of his fights.
Ali was behind to Lyle, when he stunned him and put him away in the 12? Not that has to do with this conjecture.

I like Joe, but he loses.
