Paul gets hit by right hands everytime he fights anyone who has any skill at all. He's NEVER been hit with anything remotely ressembling a Pavlik right hand.

I think perhaps they are going by punch volume, and might expect Williams to overwhelm Pavlik at some time or another and get the ref to jump in.

So even if Williams loses by KO, how can you say he is overhyped. He is basically a WW struggling to put on enough weight to fight the 160 champ. Win or lose, he will get respect from a lot of people in boxing for even taking this fight.

    Eat ****, ***git.

There is a problem with that theory, and I have pointed it out several times. Everytime we've seen Pavlik fight someone who throws a lot, Pavlik throws more. You simply do not beat KP with workrate.

I am a fan of Pavlik , so my opinion is not nuetral. Trying to be as objective as I can , I still pick Pavlik , i think his power will be the differance, as Williams never faced a real middle before, and especially not one with Pavliks heavy hands.

That being said, Williams could outwork Pav, and if he can avoid getting hit with any major bombs, then I can see him pulling off the UD win over Pav.

    I see this as a very close 55 / 45 type fight.

even if pw doesnt drop the first time a right lands flush....it WILL give him pause about standing in front of pav and throwing. that fact alone debunks a lot of this punch output stuff.

the old pav would walk him down eventually, even if he's behind on the cards when he does it. hell he was behind on the cards when he knocked out jermain even tho i don't see how he was as far behind as some judges had it. of all the posts made on pav/pw, not many talk about the fact that, for all the stuff pw will show pav that will supposedly give pav problems, pw has never been walked down by a big mw w/ heavy hands. his game has been bouncing around these smaller fighters throwing at will w/o too terribly much regard for his d. pav can and will walk through everything he can throw. so how will pw deal w/ that?? not necessarily pav's power but just being walked down?

now what i will be pacing a tread into the floor about and what will make me a very unpleasant person to watch this fight around is wondering if the old pav shows up.

"He throws a million punches from all kinds of crazy angles. He'll throw one from the floor, and then one from the ceiling." Everytime he does, his chin is wide open to somethin' straight down the middle." (Kelly Pavlik)

That's not a direct quote, but it's pretty damn close.:hey
