the problem is not an issue of ducking. it is an underlying ideal of respect for himself and lack of it for mosely. when the ball was in mosleys court mosley figured better money was out there to be made with other fights and brushed floyd off as small change and a waste of his time. so floyd is returning the favor and not giving him the opportunity to make money off of him. originally the fight between the two was about legacy now it is about respect and money. neither fighter ducked the other. wrong term to use here. they are shunning each other. refusing to make money with each other. one because he thought he was too big and the other because he is just returning the favor.

revenge is always a dish best served cold.

Wow, all I can say is you all who justify ducking are the exact reason that Dana white has a case when he says boxing is dead. Keep supporting **** like this and you will make his words to be the truth.

I still have not heard Floyd say he will not fight Mosley. He basically said Shane had his chance to fight me and he didn't take it. Now he can get in line like everyone else. Floyd has no sense of urgency for a Shane fight. If you think about it it's really Shane's fault they have not fought yet. Now everyone is blaming Floyd saying he is ducking Mosley. The **** makes no sense. I am a Mosley fan and would like to see the fight but if it does not happen he has no one to blame but himself.

I have a feeling Roach is going to tell Mayweather to fight Mosley and win there first anyways, I think Roach is going to play all the games in the world with Floyd before giving in to a fight with him, wont matter Cotto is going to win anyways.

Then the question will be is Floyd willing to deal with Arum? I think Floyd and Shane will fight, its just a matter of putting floyd in a position to force it.

so who would sell more in your opinion? mosley or Pac vs floyd? that's the real competition with dana white outselling boxing to the Mickey's malt liquor crowd.

i have a suspicion it would be the mayweather v. pacman fight.

Look we are not just in boxing to make money we are also in it for legacy, if Floyd wants to be rememberd as one of the best he is going to have to take some fights he doesnt really want to take.

Of course Pac Floyd will do bigger numbers than Mosley Floyd, no ****ing ****, everybody knows that, but what happens after the Pac fight? where does he go then?

even had he fought and beat Pac, he will still be rememberd for fights he avoided rather than the fights he won, thats the problem, if FLoyd wants to be considered and ATG, he will have to stop being a business man and start taking some real risk.

everybody knows that fight will do huge numbers, but get this there is no reason Floyd cant fight Mosley in december to pick up some extra money and a title, so he has more to bargin with going in to the fight with either Cotto or Pacquiao.

Now here is another question, if Cotto win which I think he will, what does Floyd do now? still fight Pac? go after Mosley or does he take the fight with Cotto, how would you feel if he went after pac? instead of either Cotto or Mosley?

Floyd is making a mistake here on the money front as well. He could make the bulk share of Mosley fight...70-30 or 75-25 split. And it would be a big mega-fight. So he would make a lot of money.

Against Pacquiao I just can't how it will not be split 50-50 between the those 2. We all no Pacquiao is a bigger fight. But 75% against Mosley may be more then 50% against Pacquiao.

really no ****? it would make more money? then why is pac and floyd fighting going to help destroy boxing. sounds you were playing a numbers game bringing the dana white equation. if its match ups that mma presents they suck.

he could fight either mosely or cotto afterward. or if cotto wins sooner than later.

if he went after pac after pac loses to cotto then he should be bashed for that but if its still a numbers game and drawing in casual fans who dont actually follow the sport like you or I do then it would probably do more for the sport than a fight with mosely. but as far as legacy goes mosley and cotto should be the only fighters on his list. in reality pac does nothing but line his pockets and he becomes a one of a number of fighters to beat him and the same could be said of mosley who has lost 5x already.

gotta cut it off there, family time. enjoy the threads.
