I think Williams can't handle Pavlik's power. He's getting KOd

Williams will move around laterally and outwork him.

    Wide UD.

What's all this "volume, volume" ****? Damn, I think Paul Williams is a great fighter, but people's most often main point to me of why he beats Pavlik, Floyd, Shane ect, is workrate!!! Paul is not Calzaghe FFS! He cannot adapt like Calzaghe is what I mean.

Workrate can be a great asset, but it can be negated. Just come up with some different reasons why Paul can beat this or that guy.

I assume you know this, but "Itrymariti" was formerly "Shamrock;" a long time member of the Pavlik Nation. In spite of the obvious Pavlik bias I think he has this one pegged just about right.

Fighters do not change when they believe they have the edge over their opponent. George Peterson clearly thinks Paul has the edge. Chances of him trying to work on anything new are very slim. There is probably a 95% chance that Paul Williams will come into the ring, and act just like Paul Williams. If he does that, we're looking at a war, and that's a fight Paul can't win. That's a 5 round ass whoopin'!

Jeff, I hear ya bro! Some of these guys need to check some actual punch stats. You do not beat Kelly Pavlik by standing in front of him shoe-shining, and that is a lot of what PW does. Everytime KP is in with a volume puncher, KP thows MORE than they you do. You do not shut him down by hitting him. All that does is **** him off:yep

In addition Williams is about as accurate as a game of darts between Stevie wonder and Ray Charles!

Yeah. At first I thought it was odd that two people were using the same avatar, but I finally caught on from the postings. I have avvies turned off now because my wifi enabled work computer is too slow with them and I don't want a customer to catch a peek if I get careless.

Basically I believe you are right. Even if they train something different it is hard to go away from what has worked before in a dangerous situation.

I understand a high volume of arm punches worked well against Winky. I also know I saw Winky catch Pdub flush a couple of good ones in the early rounds. I think what Pavlik said about angles was interesting. People on this forum are so in love with the concept they forget that, as Kelly pointed out, they can be opening for a nice straight punch.

Paul Williams corner throws in the towel atthe end of the 7th or 8th because of accumulation of punches to their respective fighter.
KP TKO PW R7 or R8.

My girlfriend immediately said that Williams was being handed a middleweight title when she heard about this. :blood

I had to gently remind her that while I've never been one of his backers, Pavlik's only professional loss came to a Hall of Fame fighter turning back the clock and fighting the fight of his life.

Seriously....and the only lasting vision people have in thier minds seem to be this fight (one night!). Just my opinion, but due to this years inactivity following that, people don't really seem to rember just how good Pavlik is. (biased as **** obviously, but really man).

I mean, anythings possible, but there was a friggin' poll last week that 50% or better take PBF right now over Pavlik! I just can't wait 'til Pav gets back in the ring.
