There are other options for Mosley, but Paul Williams is not one of them. A few weeks ago, Mosley was pretty honest and said that he didn't want a fight with Williams. After sitting ringside last Saturday in Las Vegas and watching Williams dominate Winky Wright, Mosley is not exactly changing his mind. He is still set on fighting the winner of the May 2 bout between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton, or a possible rematch with Miguel Cotto.

"[Paul Williams] is not really an option for me. I'm thinking about fighting Pacquiao or either Hatton or maybe Cotto. I'm looking for the mega-fights right now, and those are the mega-fights for me today," Mosley said.

Shane went from 135 to fight a prime Oscar De La Hoya for the welterweight title. He could have avoided Vernon Forrest at welter for a while if he chose, but Shane is a warrior and fought him, twice.

Shane then goes to 154 and fights Winky Wright - Who at the time made Paul Williams look like flavour of the month in terms of being avoided and fought him twice, as well as Vargas.

How many times has Shane called out smaller men than himself - When he offered to fight Pac - He said he'd make 140! Floyd won't even take two pounds off to meet the contract weight!

You can accuse Mosley of a lot of things, but cherry picking is NOT on that menu with his record.

Floyd is a great fighter. One of the best, if not the best of this era.

Mosley is a great fighter as well. Both are hall of famers. As of today, Floyd rates just a tad over Mosley historically. And the only reason why he is not rated much higher is because of his lack of competition, and his cherry picking.

Floyd needs to fight guys like Mosley and not make excuses. Mosley is currently reconized as the top welterweight and he has resume comparable to Floyd's.

Some Floyd fans here grab these videos of Floyd calling out Shane etc. and Shane turning down Floyd. First off the one where Floyd called out Shane, that was right after Floyd beat Henry Bruceles and Shane had just lost back to back fights with Winky Wright. Who the hell wanted to see a 140 pound Mayweather fight Mosley who at that time was not champion anymore?

In 2006, I will admit Shane should have taken the fight with Mayweather. But he didn't feel he had proper time to prepare. 3 months to come down from 154 to 147 to fight Floyd. It wasn't as if he said I will not fight you. It was basically like I will fight you just give me a couple more months. Plus add in the Oscar factor, who knows what would have happened had Shane tried to secure the fight.

And lets go back to 1999 when people say Shane ducked Floyd. That is horse crap. Shane had the option to move up to 147 to make 6 plus Million dollars to fight Oscar De La Hoya. Or he could have fought Floyd Mayweater for 2 million. Plus add in the fact Mosley could no longer make the 135 pound limit. So this my friends was not going to happen.

But right now would be a great time for it to happen. But it WON'T. Floyd will not fight Shane Mosley. There are doubts in his mind that he can beat Mosley. I think Floyd can beat Mosley, but it would be competitive. But I believe Floyd is afraid to lose his '0' and he only wants to take perceived low risk-high reward fights. Instead of High-risk-High Reward fights. In Floyd's Mind he perceives Pacquiao as an easier fight then Mosley. Is it an easier fight, I don't think so, but Im not Floyd.

My question to Floyd fans is, Why don't you want to see your fighter fight Shane Mosley? Isn't it a fight he can win? Isn't it an interesting fight? Why do you keep justifying Floyd not testing himself? Floyd is brilliant, but he needs to be tested. Analogy. How do we know who the best surgeons are in the world, answer is because they are the ones who do the most complicated and most difficult surgeries. Don't we want the top fighters to take the toughest fights.

And could you imagine a year of 2010 with a March fight with Shane Mosley then a possible fight with Manny Pacquiao in the Fall. It would be a year to remember in boxing. Yet Floyd and his fans keep making excuses why Floyd won't fight Shane. And you will keep buying talking points of Leonard Ellerbe and company.

I don't always agree with Dougie - but this is in STARK contrast to the straight up ducking of the Margaritto 8 million which was well documented.

The funny thing is Mayweather gets slagged off for schooling Marquez yet when Pacquiao looked like he was going to drag him back up to 147 to fight him they thought it was alright since they were only 4 lbs apart on fight night weight.

Ignoring the fact the fight night weight difference was bigger in the De La Hoya, Corrales and both Castillo fights against Mayweather than it was in the fight with Marquez in Mayweather's favour.
