Darrens Father Tony Sutherland interviewed on The Late Show

I know it's very sad!! There is also a reason for the resentment your hearing!! :-( Im hearing things that are pretty revolting if true!!:-(

Why does this stuff have to be played out in the media though? Surely going down private and legal channels is the best way. Not on TV

 

Can understand why his parents are angry.It was on bebo before they even found out.Shocking I think.They should defintley have been the first to know.

Sutherand's father said at the end of the interview that he only went on the show to give the media an interview so the family could be left in peace to grieve privately away from media intrusion.

In fairness, he said nothing about Maloney- he only mentioned his name once (albeit with a bit of anger in his voice). The interviewer just said there is more to the story than has come out and that the additional information can't be promulgated until everything has gone down the correct legal avenues.

 

Was just gonna say the exact same thing. The family are probably being hounded by the media for quotes. So he just wanted to get it out of the way in one foul swoop and give his reaction just the one time....

 

bollox, so because he was taken to hospital meant he couldnt pick the phone up, maloney was his manager for ****s sake he had spoken and met his family a few times and could of had the decency to inform them, in my book this is what should of happened and he took the easy way out, obvioulsy some stuff has gone on that the public dont know about and this is psrtly the reasonwhy maloney never rang his folks, had everything between them been sweet im sure he would have let them know, maybe maloney was dealing with some guilt

I think if I were to find a perfect stranger hanged I'd be in too much of a state to think straight , never mind if it was someone I worked closely with. I don't know the circumstances leading up to it, but rationally I couldn't blame Maloney for what happened after. Then again it wasn't my son, thank God, so I don't know how I'd react.
