Unfortunately neither man wants any part of Vitali. Both have proved that in the past. If you are a Haye fan you might buy his line about getting a belt and having more negotiating power. Sorry, I don't. I think Haye will eventually fight Wlad, but he will wait for Vitali to retire first.

Chagaev was the rightful owner of that title, Valuev, who lost to Chagaev, only picked up a paper belt because co-promoter Don King managed to bribe the WBA. But the biggest and most shameless move by King-Sauerland was to stage the Chagaev-Valuev rematch in Finland, as they were absolutely sure (and it seems Universum wasn't or just hoped it won't be a problem) that Ruslan's stable HepB numbers won't go through with the local commission. Chagaev was cleared by German/Austrain commission and by Sauerland doctors, but King/Sauerland 'failed to update' the Finnish commission on the situation so they pulled the plug.

Master plan payed off well, Valuev was declared the WBA champ without a fight, and Chagaev, healthy and in good shape fought Wlad just a few weeks later - but wasn't recognized by the WBA.

**** them. The Klitsckos beat all champions, what does a paper title in the hands of a coward means anyway?

Fair enough. We're all allowed our fair share of trolling.

Exactly. :good In fact, if i remember correct, going into the Wlad-Chagaev fight, both him and Valuev were still "Interim" champs, and after Wlad won, they decided that Valuev was their champion after all....

Haye would get KOed by the wind of Vitali's punches just like Herbie Hide did.

Is there a link to an article with him saying this again after the fight?

I know it's their *goal* but with King so firmly rooted in the WBA thing, it seems unlikely to happen, if you ask me.
