ive seen this suggested (by rob i think, credit were credit due) and i think it makes sense. But what would be the best way to do this ,one thing i think that could help this along would be the inclusion of area belts/celtic belts ? a good place to start i suppose.you could have it so it gets reviewed every 6 weeks and published on there website,or in BM .also points could be aded for the taking part in prizefigher (wether we agree it looks like it is here to stay) and fighting for the european We could also drop points for fighting for intercontinental/international . How would you do it so it works and isint open to promoters influence...obv things are open for interpritation and i apprciate people wil ldo things diffrently
Firstly, they need to change their God awful website - like Jeff Thomas said, comparing the BBBC website and the UFC one is pretty sad as the UFC has all the information fans need, whilst the BBBC site is just pitiful.
The BBBC are super backward and have no idea how to get the sport moving forward and the level of power they have. They are tremendously proffesional and a great bunch of chaps but they are not with it... they need some young blood.
New blood. Like a mid 20's former domestic level boxer who's now expanding his repetoire to some writing and now training and knows the domestic scene pretty well? Where could they find some like that? :huh :good
The WBC site is laid out pretty well.... but being forcefed Jose Sulaiman telling us all how brilliant he is, just sickening. Rocchigiani has something to answer for - should have forced them out of existence.
I think it's a good idea. IMO a fighter should also be able to hold the British title whilst mounting a world title challenge - if they lose their first fight back should be a mandatory defence. Obviously if the fighter wins the world title it should be declared vacant..... if they then lose the title they should be installed as mandatory challenger.
aye that would be good the one thing i notice about the intercontinenta/international belts is they seem to be favourd more by sanctioning bodies than the tradtinal routes ...if you defend them about 2/3 times then you tend to get into the top 10 and a mandatory ...it think the sanctioning fees is a sweetner
