Has Freddy Roach had a change of heart??

Roach was relying solely on the 2 year hiatus affecting Mayweather in order for Pac to be capable of beating him, now he has seen no rust at all, he knows Pac will be ass whipped & possibly humiliated, undoing all the good work Pac has done recently.

Of course, real fans wont think any less of Pacquiao for losing to Mayweather but Freddie has spoke so much **** regarding this match that he is not only saving Pac`s ass, he`s saving his own blushes too.

Im not suprised by Roach`s recent comments, I kinda expected it TBH.
Still hope we get to see the FMJ-Pac fight tho, will be huge for the sport & an interesting style clash.

I think the bottom line is weight.
They shouldn't have Pac fighting at 147 at all. The Cotto fight will be a hella of a test.
If Cotto wins, Floyd will not fight him.
If Pac wins Floyd will do everything he can to fight Pac at 147.
But Pac shouldn't do it. He should make a firm stand and make it a 140 belt fight.
That way Floyd can't come in over weight. (would make it clear on contract as a forfeit)
At 140 Pac can make it a good fight. At 147. Floyd is looking to be 160 lbs.

To be honest.
I think Williams is making a mistake on fighting Pavlik. Not that he doesn't have a chance but rather he should have went after Floyd. Constant belittling of Floyd like Tarver did of Jones. Fight at either 147 or 154. Taunt that if Floyd wins it would be an 80/20 split for Floyd but if he won then a 50/50 split. IE I think his height wins him that fight. Floyd isn't aggressive and doesn't like in fighting. Williams is tall enough with reach and speed to land consistent jabs from the outside. Waiting for a shorter right as Floyd would have to try to come in. Style makes fights ...

 

If cotto comes out with that mentality then its Lights out for him....RIcky hatton style :rofl

 

Freddy got Parkinson's. This is something to be considered everytime he speaks, most of the time with class, and some....

 

For all the Pac fans who dont agree with this thread you gotta admit it was scary the way PBF performed. I expected ring rust. I did not see any at all. I am not a big fan of PBF beacuse of his choosing of opponents but skillwise he has always had my respect.
I just hope he steps up against the elite WW.

 

Pac already said long time ago that he only had one more fight left because he is running for congressional seat in the Philippines. He also said before that he had nothing to do with any of the welters after the Oscar fight. Only reason he is fighting Cotto at welter is because of money and fans want to see him against real welters. Had Floyd waited few hours of the Pac-Hatton fight, Pac's camp would have called for Floyd for his last fight. You really believe Pac still has anything to prove?

Should Pac win, he will call on PBF for sure, but if he loses, he'll hang them up. He's just giving what the fans want to see. And should the Pac-PBF fight happens, you bet on it, it wouldn't be a boring fight, win or lose.

 

Yes fight a fighter thats in his prime and is a caliber fighter. He has not done so since JMM. Even then JMM was a little past his prime.
