you talking about valero vs. katsidis in your avatar man? that would be a ****in FIGHT!!! not sure if i'd want to see it as a fan of katsidis, though. i'm not sure he would hold up against a beast like valero with that defense, but if he could avoid blocking punches with his face until the middle of the fight i think he would mop valero up. now that fight deserves a thread/poll!

 

I just saw the stare down on TV. Unless Kelly was shoeless, Williams has 1.5 to 2 inches on him.

 

In the pic Ray Hogan is now using for an avatar KP and PW look to be almost the same exact height. There isn't a nickels worth of difference. There's never been any doubt about Pav's height: he's 6' 2 1/2".

 

Yeah, I have been changing the wording for each new fight. Last week it was 'Bring on Escobedo'. Now that JMM looks to be moving up, Katsidis can start coming into his own, IMO, and there are some great fights at 135 to be made. Valero is getting the hype so why not make the fight? It would be a war! To steal a line from Merchant and apply it to Katsidis, 'the only title that matters to him is 'WARRIOR''. Forget the belts, plenty of great fights coming up for Katsidis, methinks:yep:good.

EDIT: Booradley, what I was saying is that PW's height is blatantly NOT 6'1'':good.

 

Honestly, as far as frames etc, looks like a fairly even match up...body wise.

absolutely. katsidis is one of my favorites. i can't wait to see him fight next no matter who it's against.

 

Yep -- that's what I'm saying too. Kolle is listed at 6' 1" and Paul was noticably taller. Now we see a pic of Paul with a guy whose height we KNOW about, and it's obvious, the 6' 1" stuff was a ruse.

 

I saw a 'straight on' of the stare down. Williams looked taller by at least on inch if not more. Pavlik will correct that on Dec. 5 though.

 

When KP did that TV show the other day he said he thought PW was about 1/2" taller.

 

Ok no problem, Paul Williams has fought twice at Middleweight and he has looked great. Paul Williams has very good foot movement and throws combos in and out and will be able to get away from any Pavlik one-two coming at him. Pavlik is just too slow and will get frustrated as Paul will throw 100 punches with ease. Pavlik likes fighting fighters that will stand there and trade and Paul Williams isn't dumb enough to start trading with Pavlik, and so with his brain and overall skills he will dominate Pavlik with ease.

 

He didnt balloon 17 pounds on fight night. He came in weighing less than Carlos did.

 

Jacobs is 6'4". So I'd say Williams is at least 6' 2" maybe 6' 3".
