The Rock's right hand on Walcott is mind.

ITs evey one's own choice of couse.

No punch is better historic than any other punch, I not taking about how hard or damage they are compare to each other, IE the left thown by Frazier in round 15 vs Ali was not as hard as the Rock's 13th round ko punch.

But historic, both are on even ground if there important or not.

Tyson's uppercut that Buster Douglas down stands out to me.... the fact that he got up at very last moment really signified that Tyson was now a broken man in the ring for the first time in his pro career against a so called 'Tomato Can'.

It appitimizes just how unpredictable boxing really is in that one fight.

Pernell Whitaker's behind the back punch on Azumah Nelson is the single most important punch in boxing history.

Closely followed by Pernell Whitaker's punch on referee Chris Wallerson. :good

There have been a few lethal punches thrown that have been important for the sport because of the impact made, and the health and safety changes afterwards. Im thinking along the lines of punches being thrown by an Emile Griffith or a Nigel Benn.

Not sure about that one, Frazier didnt need that KD on the cards to beat Ali, if that KD swung the decision Joe`s way tho, Id agree with you probably.

It would probably have to be the most famous fighter in his most famous fight - in that case, Ali`s right hand that sent Foreman down.

The body shot on Schmeling that had him openly yelping in pain.

    Joe Louis was a monster.

    Its the JAB>
If you cant hit him with a jab, I doubt that you will hit him with anything else.
Even for a puncher ---- the jab is the most important.

Tell that to Battling Nelson, Rocky Marciano, Carman Basilio, Gene Fullmer(For the most part), Al Wogast, Henry Armstrong, and countless others that dont belive in the jab lol.
