The Vitali I saw last night would of definetely lost to a prime Joe Frazier

Because everytime Arreola threw the jab he either missed or got countered. Plain & simple, Vitali took the fight outta Chris.

 

Oh, and Frazier would've been KO'd. :good

 

I agree. Early in the first round Arreola was coming in low, bobbing and weaving, and it seemed to throw Klitschko off his game a bit. After the first minute, though, Arreola abandoned his upper body movement and just came plodding forward eating punches. I don't think Vitali Klitscho has the power to bomb Frazier out, he doesn't sit down on his punches enough. Frazier would wear him down and take a decision win or a late TKO. Frazier would probably stop Wlad in the middle rounds.

 

That's how VK goads his opponents into throwing punches that are easy to counter off of. That's his style in a nutshell.

And like a previous poster said, he's no Floyd but he doesn't need to be against Heavyweights. Most of them are slower than Vitali.

To be honest the best type of fighting style to beat Vitali is exactly the type his brother is. A good, fast, accurate, powerful boxer who fights smart.

 

Wladimir would KO Frazier earlier than Vitali would. He'd box his ears off & level him with the right hand mid rounds.

 

V.K. does a paint job on Frazier enroute to a TKO victory for Klit........ These "Frazier" ball-lickers needs to get some meds......... We have some dangerously sick people walking amongst us..........

Excellent post. I like the reach part and it does make a lot of sense. Size does matter, especially when it's a well conditioned, quick, smart athlete. Today's athletes are superior in many ways to the greats of the past.

 

Bull****. Frazier is Wlad's stylistic nightmare. A non-stop, fast pressure fighter, in-fighter, body-puncher with good power. Wlad would get steamrolled.

 

Vitali won't goad Frazier into throwing punches because Frazier is going to be throwing punches anyway. Don't confuse the fat mexican with Joe Frazier.

 

Christ, if a 6' 4" tall and 217 pound George Foreman could keep Joseph Frazier in 1973 at bay with a mere sticking jab and forceful right cross, mixed in with a few uppercuts and take Frazier the **** out, then I gotta assume that V.K. at 6 ' 7" tall and 250 pounds of muscle utilizing the same BASIC tactics that Foreman applied in '73, would obtain and equate to a very similar result over Frazier..... Jesus, even Stevie Wonder can see that.....

Not even.................. I know and saw what my man Foreman could do in the ring, and I'm now living through the era of Vitali Klit as champion.......... Hate to say it, but V.K. is still quicker and slicker and a better boxer than Foreman ever was.... YES! Foreman still rules in punching-power, but V.K. can and does throw all the punches in the book with damn good power as well............... Klit would be Frazier's worst nightmare outside of George Foreman...........
