everyone looks at the Golota fight as the proof that Bowe can be fairly easily outboxed by a big decent HW. In watching that fight you can see how much his skills had diminished from not long ago after the holyfield wars.
I love how Bowe gets a pass on everything from the same guys who hate Vitali. But Bowe must be a legendary HW, right? After all, he beat mini-Evander two out of three, and he also... ah.... um.... actually, who else did he ever beat? He sure did get the **** kicked out of him by Golota though. Twice, actually. Oh but that's right, eight months after stopping prime Holy he was suddenly completely shot IN HIS VERY NEXT FIGHT. When he was a 29 year old with a record of 38-1. So the Golota ass-rammings don't count against him, at all. :hat
He beat the best guys available on the way up. His resume is pretty much the same as vitalis accept one major thing, He beat evander 2x.Say what you want about "mini evander" as you say but Evander is an atg HEAVY not just a cruiser HEAVYWEIGHT,and i dont see any of these giants whupping him no not even the klitchkos. His weigt was big time up and down and he just went downhill after evander so throw out the Golota fights. Yes and it happens "MC JACKASS":yep Lot of fighters to lose it after wars especially trilogys like theres so dont act like thats so absurd. That is true. But if you look at Lewis-Bowe back in finals, you'll see a smart, strong, skilled big man handling Bowe pretty well... Riddick was an excellent heavy, but I don't see the proof in his career he could handle a highly skilled and very effective, elite superheavy. The most overlooked strength in Vitali's game might be his effectiveness. He doesn't get hit much (only Lewis could land at a fairly high %, ever) and he's landing his own, busy punches at a high rate. I can see Bowe going 12, but I don't think he's capable to do anything with Vitali's stats. He'd be facing 1000 strong punches in 12 rounds landing at 30%, and landing a single punch on Vitali is damn hard, so how the hell do you outbox him?
Bowe would match up with Vitali good he had a better jab than lewis that would have landed on vitali for sure,He was also an excellent inside fighter and he had a better chin than lewis. Wouldnt be easy but i can see him winning a close one.
Vitali's reflexes would make the difference. Vitali is harder to hit than anyone at HWI can remember. Even Ali could be hit by little Doug Jones or Henry Cooper, fighters who wouldn't ladn anything on Vitali. Bowe's advantage in infighting wouldn't mean much, since Vitali wouldn't let him get there.
Well, he was not hard to hit for Sanders and past prime, out of shape Lennox Lewis. Of course if you fight the Arreolas, Williams, you ar not gonna get hit much. Bowe by late round stoppage.Bowe has the better jab, better inside fighter and more heart.Bowe would fight like lennox except that he has a better chin and that the prime version of Bowe is better than the out of prime version of lewis.
Ill admit vitali has an effective defense,but if hes such a master why did lewis bust his face up??? Also regarding ali and doug jones,henry cooper well ali was still rising he wasnt at full potential yet. Also ali at 6-3 was 5 inches taller than the well schooled doug jones. IF doug jones were say 6-3(5 inches shorter than vitali) hed definitly be landing on vitali. It all kind of comes down to styles. I bet lewis wouldnt be able to hit a prime ali the way he did vitali
You do not know ****. That "mini Holy" would beat Vitali by decision. He is an ATG heavyweight. The Bowe that fought Golota was out of prime much like the Lewis version that fought Vitali.
